A Dream To Come True....

I just wanted to let everyone know my kids will be seeing the beach for their first time this weekend, and I can't wait! My brother has paid for us to go to Myrtle Beach to meet him and his family, so the cousins and all us can be together again. We'll be leaving for my brothers in Virginia on Thursday, and will arrive at Myrtle Beach on Friday, when we leave my brothers (we're going to stay overnight there since it's a long drive) and then we'll start driving back Sunday or Monday. Just a few days of fun, since my hubby also has to work, and can't stay away too long, and I have a chemo tx Wednesday.

I can't wait, I haven't been to a beach in years, and seeing my kids faces will be the highlight of my life when they see the ocean, I know it's no biggie to people who live there, but like Phil said to me as well, it's like being where you don't ever see snow...I'll be back after the weekend, and till then, hope everyone will stay well and have an awesome Memorial Day!

    We were planning on hitting up the myrtle beach this weekend too. If we decide to go, I'll let you know. I know where all the good places to eat are.

    that is awesome!!!! Donna I am so happy for you....cousins are so important and your kids seeing the ocean will be priceless. I hope you have a great time.

    If you wanted a little support on the bikini front ....ha I could jet down. The old roadmap of scars on the abdomen would be enough to clear any beach. hahah

    have a wonderful time sweetie....you deserve it...

    Enjoy your weekend,you will like it.I went to myrtle beach last year for a week.One place that has good food is the hard rock cafe,the meal was so big I couldn't finish it.Your kids will love the ocean,have a great time.

    Have a wonderful, wonderful time. Just getting away will do all of you a world of good. I'm leaving Thursday for Mid-Michigan, George will join me Friday evening and he will stay until Tuesday. I will be up there all next week. George is doing well so I feel ok leaving him alone for a few days. The to do list for our place up there isn't too big so hopefully get in some reading time and just peace and quiet.

    The beach is a grand place, although for us in So Calif right now, it's cold and rainy!

    (Truth be told, I STILL love it...ROFL!)

    Yep.. That's me. But sold the hospice to pay off medical bills and personal bills. It also put a little extra cash in my pocket so I can move my wife and us to Oregon.

    I have to laugh. The other night I had to go in a trash can. When is comes theirs NO stopping it and my daughter was in MY bathroom at the time and it was the only thing I could grab. I know it sounds bad but I'm alive and I can hug my kids everyday. I no longer get upset over life's little bumps!!

    the beach is so calming!
    My father and my husband were both career Navy, so I grew up around beaches! I find the water and the sand very calming! I live in the foothills now, so don't get to see the ocean often, but have been to Myrtle Beach often, although I prefer the relative solitude of North Myrtle Beach! Enjoy the heck out of it and get lots of pictures!

    When I was in the Navy my ship wnet into the gulf of Alaska and all the people who had never seen snow went crazy. they had a great time. I imagine this will be very exciting. Wishing you a great time and safe trip.
