As some of you know, my father was scheduled to finish chemo treatments and go on maintenance. He was diagnosed in December with stage IV with mets to bone in arm.

His first PET scan showed total tumor reduction in esophagus. The most recent PET scan is showing mets to liver.

This seems like roller coaster you can't get off! As many of you have experienced, you settle in and then there's another challenge facing you.

Does anyone have any stories of hope or experience with chemo treatment options?

My heart goes out to everyone on this site.

Carolyn

    Hey Carolyn
    Sorry to hear of

    Hey Carolyn
Sorry to hear of your dad's recent news. His story is almost identical to my dad's. He beat the ec, and in December got mets to his liver. From what I have been learning lately about liver cancer, there is a new treatment out called therasphere. William also mentioned it. I think Sherri and her husband Jim are going this route. He too has gotten mets to the liver. You can research it on the internet. Hopefully there is a cancer center or hospital in your area who do this procedure. God bless all of you at this difficult time. Keep in touch. Yes this journey with ec has many many ups and downs. Rejoice in the ups, and fight the downs! I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
