This is, pardon the pun a "sore" subject one here. Jaylo for one has battled this recently for me a product called "Bag Balm" worked well. for others a product like Udder cream worked. both are available anywhere that caters to farmers or livestock like Rural King for instance. It is actually made to ease chapping and discomfort on the teets of dairy cows but worked great for me and others in releaving foot issues. It is like a really think vasoline, petroleum based concoction Bag Balm comes in a square green can. I put it on kinda thick at night the put socks over it. I used it sometimes during the day if I wasnt going to be moving about much. I had a hard time with the greasy feeling during the day is all.
good luck, I am sure you will get many more opinions on this subject.
Hope this finds ya smilin, and what are we doing up so late, lol.

Both of these products might be sold at sewing/quilting stores. Those of us who use sewing needles a lot get really sore fingers. I use Udder Cream, I have not had treatments for a month and still get the sores and cracked skin, but because of the neuropathy I have not been able to hand stitch-drats, there always has to be a reminder.
Take care

Hand & foot syndrome
Hi classicman and I first want to give you a warm welcome to the board here. We can be butts sometimes, especially me..LOL, but we are very nice, compassionate butts.(pun intended)
The blisters on your feet are probably from chemo. What they think happens is that the hands & feet get a lot of punishment working and walking & stuff and it breaks down the very small capillaries and the chemo seeps out of the vessels and gets under the skin tissues. My feet burn, are peeling and have turned a nasty green, grey, black, red.I have been using Udderly Smooth (purchased at Walgreen's and Dollar store ) and it helps in the day time. I reserve the greasy stuff like Bag Balm for nighttime. If you start seeing signs of infection you probably need to call your doctor.
I'm kind of surprised you are getting the chemo feet this far out from chemo but who knows about this stuff. It can be crazy!! I have been on a 'rest' from chemo for 2 weeks and I now have the worse case of mouth sores I've ever had. I've completed 9 treatments thus far.
Hope the feet heal soon. Try not to put too much stress on them if possible.
Best wishes.

When i was taking Xloda as my oral chemo and elastin as an infusion chemo i suffered massivr sores on my feet, I am a corrections officer and we do alot of walking on concrete, my hands cracked and bled, and the finger tips are still numb, but I have been off chemo since Janurary 2010, and in the past 2 weeks the sores have returned,, What gives0
