I have a friend who has PPC and has been fine for a while now after her chemo. However she is worried that the fluid is beginning to build up in her abdomen again. She is feeling bloated. Do any of you know how long after the end of chemo does it start to come back?

Cheers Tina xx

She needs to get checked out
She needs to get checked out thoroughly. Unless the cancer has come back, the ascites should not, either.

    Check up
Hi Tina, I agree she needs to see the doc, especially if she is uncomfortable. This is different for each person. Hugs Bonnie

Thanks to you all I will
Thanks to you all I will pass on your advice. I think she has booked in with her GP, she just wanted to share her fears I think.

    Hi Tina,
    She should most

    Hi Tina,

She should most definitely have it checked out.

It could be a sign that the cancer is coming back and it's best to stay on top of it
before it goes way too far.

Before the pleural fluid began returning for my mom, her abdomen was starting to swell uncomfortably. Hope the docs can stop the fluid for your friend before it gets worse.

    Up-date.
Hiya I have recently spoken to my friend, Jenny and she has visitied her doctor. He could not feel anything. She had a CA125 done and it is 20. So thankfully everything seems to be alright. I think she was just spooked as you think & fear the worse sometimes.

Thanks for all of your replies.

I imagine it could be something she ate that caused discomfort and that starts the fear cycle. Glad her Dr. visit was a good one!
