2 weeks of Rads finished--4 more weeks to go
I'm so grateful for this network of support and all the wonderful gals I've met battling this disease. We are all brave warriors and survivors.
I recall my Onc telling me that the chemo I'd be getting was very strong, but many hundreds of people had been thru it and I would get thru it as well. To all you gals out there starting chemo, I want to tell you that Yes, you will indeed get thru it. It's not easy but as many have said it is doable.
God bless all my pink sisters. Hugs to all of you.

Hi, Natly, it's good to see
Hi, Natly, it's good to see you post. I completely understand the bc taking over ones life. I was glad to read that you at least are getting some "normalcy" back. I know it seems like it will never end, but it will. You're almost there and then you can take your turn with that handsome NED. Sending you strength to get through the remaining 4 weeks. Take care.0 -
You're one week ahead of me!
Hey, Natly! I just finished my first week of rads! Six to go . . . a sister survivor told me yesterday to drink LOTS of water and eat well throughout. I've been carrying water everywhere and will continue to do so.
Take care of yourself!
We can do this!

Natly
So good to hear from you. I'm glad to hear that your energy level is picking up. I felt the same way about halfway through rads, and although toward the end of rads I did start to get sleepy-tired, it was nothing like the exhaustion I felt during and right after chemo.
You're almost to the finish line - Yay!

Breast Cancer
I had Left side mastectomy and reconstruction May 11 last year.
This year on May 5 during my annual check with the Cancer Surgeon, she found cancer in my lymph nodes under my arm. I really never felt well since the chemo and now the think I will have to get it again and radiology.
I had just started to get stong and able to do things I was not able to do for almost a year due to the weakness and the mental stress.
I think I am going crazy.

Hi natly
Good to see you again and glad you're finally feeling like MOPPING! Coincidently, I did that this morning, too. Don't start on the windows, yet. Save that for tomorrow. Your rads will soon be finished. Today was my last day and it went quickly. The detour is almost over.0 -

I just started my third week of rads and have to say I've been feeling more energetic also. Thanks to this site I know that it can get uncomfortable as time goes on but I feel ready. All the advice and support I got during chemo was right on and I feel confident that I am prepared for this also.0 -

Dear Friend Natly, Glad to see you posting and to hear you have some energy while doing rads. I don't seem to have much since I started chemo, I'll be having my 3rd treatment on Wednesday. Then only 9 more treatments, once each week. I did wash some windows yesterday in our Florida room with the help of my husband. I have some nausea, tiredness, a little diarrhea and dry mouth. Then I'll start 30 rad treatments after this. You're getting close to the finish line and I will enjoy cheering you on the rest of the way. Take care of yourself and we'll do some celebrating together soon. Lots of love and hugs, you beautiful woman.0 -

Hey, Cousin Natly -
I so understand about how much it helps to get back to some normalcy....
But girl, I'd much rather hear that you're using your precious energy for something a little more FUN than mopping floors!
(And no, Sunrae -- by "fun" I don't mean windows, either! :-)

Dear Natly,
Glad to hear that your energy is returning. It feels great right? Don't start on the windows just yet. Reserve some of that energy for doing something pleasant for yourself. If you are anything like me, once I feel just a bit better, I dive right back into work and life. I 've learned to be aware of this and have to remind myself to pace myself.
I am on day #5 of Rads. Working full time and keeping busy. Just returned to doing my yoga after not doing much in the way of working-out since the beginning of 2010. It feels great and helps keep me optimistic and balanced on the not so good days.
Hugs, KayNYC0 -

I am glad that you are doing better. Still please take it easy, especially in the end of radiation treatments. You are getting close to the finish line.

Hi Natly! It is so nice to
Hi Natly! It is so nice to see your beautiful face and to know that your energy is returning! It has indeed been a long year, hasn't it? But look where you are today! "Who'd a thunk it, huh?"
I have an idea that you probably never thought that mopping the floor would be cause of celebration, and that you would posting this great news! :-) On the other hand, the sisters here on the boards understand it 100%! And we rejoice!
Hugs,
