Hi. I had a tumor surgically removed and my upper left lobe of my lung 2 years ago. My follow up appointments have all looked good until recently. My last CT scan should a spot. I now also can feel a lump under my right armpit. Not looking forward to the unknown. I have 3 kids, and therefore a very busy mom. My husband doesn't know how to communicate how its affecting him. Therefore I've just pretty well have had the cold shoulder for the last three months. Anyone have any ideas.

    Have you gotten your results
Have you gotten your results back? My therory is do not worry until there is something to worry about.

As for your husband, I feel like he needs to join a support group. Being a caregiver is hard work and he needs an outlet. You do not need this added stress either.

    Good luck.

stress with marriage due to cancer.
First I just want to say that I hope it hasn't been three months since the new area in your lung was found and the lump under your arm. Please have them checked asap. You dont want to have anything spreading.I will pray that your cancer has not returned. Im sorry to hear about your husband. It sounds like he is overwhelmed as well. I was dx 4 months ago and have 4 kids. My husband has been very supportive but does have times when he becomes very distant and I feel as though he is angry that I am ill. Im not sure what your religious beliefs are but returning to the church community and God have been extremely helpful to us all. My sister was dx several months bofore I got my dx so I know how it feels to deal with someone you love having cancer. I felt so helpless and extremely sad, almost more difficult to deal with because I couldnt really do anything but be supportive to her. Dont give up on your husband but try to encourage him to talk to you about his feelings. I also might help if he would be agreeable to a support group. I hope all works out well for you and your family. Dont give up! God Bless
