Phil, Marcia and Craig those are all wonderful quotes thank you for sharing them. I thought of another one that I keep in my Bible that helped me during my cancer battles, here goes:
But sometimes it is necessary to do that which is too much. Pope John Paul II
RE, I wasn't going to respond to this post because I don't know that many quotes. I went to open a file (I thought it was something else) and found that quote by beecher stowe. I had come across it at some point and saved it as it's own file. Isn't that strange?
Now I've thought of another:
Never give up. Never surrender.

Well perhaps you were meant to share the quote, I truly enjoyed it. I started this tread i n hopes of all of us inspiring each other with quotes that give hope and/or provoke thought. This new quote you are sharing is very good as well, I am glad you decided to chime in my friend!

I've always liked this
"Truth Will Out"
Meaning
The truth will become known eventually.
Origin
From Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, 1596:
LAUNCELOT: Nay, indeed, if you had your eyes, you might fail of
the knowing me: it is a wise father that knows his
own child. Well, old man, I will tell you news of
your son: give me your blessing: truth will come
to light; murder cannot be hid long; a man's son
may, but at the length truth will out.0 -
What lies behind us and whatPhillieG said:Every religion is true
Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble.
~ Joseph Campbell
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
