Can anyone use these?

A number of my friends have signed me up for free hats from a variety of groups, web sites, etc, or in some cases, purchased and sent me hats, scarves, etc.

I really appreciate their thoughtfulness. However, some of them don't fit (I have a very small head), and some just aren't my style.

If anyone would like one or more of these, please message me your name/address and I will gladly send them to you. They are all new.

I have a Kangol brand "bucket" hat, black, size large/x large. This is a nice and quite expensive hat. It retails for $47.00. Here is a link to a photo:

I have several scarves....
A dark brown "silky" scarf, a lime green scarf (also silky), and a heavy cotton animal print (giraffe, maybe?) scarf. The last one is very long and quite wide, with fringe on the ends. It looks big enough to be used as a shoulder wrap. I never got the hang of scarf-tying and prefer a wig or cap/hat.

I have a knit cap made out of eyelash yarn. It looks like the one in this link, except it is red. I think it's cute, but it's too big for me. I would call it a size large.

Maybe leave them at the chemo lounge?
Several times I've seen stacks on cute hats at the chemo lounge with a sign "Free to a good home" from women who have graduated from baldness. That might be a good option.

    Carlene,
Your a doll, so cute and so smart. What a combination. My mom could probably use the red one (her fave color) if its still left.

Vicki....please send me your name and address via PM - or your mom's name and address - wherever you'd like me to send the hat.

PS.....I wish my infusion center had a spot to "donate" these things. It would be a great idea.

    thanks
Thanks, Carlene for offering. I too have a small head, but have bben thankful to keep my hair this time around (thinner and whiter)!!

My new oncologist said my next treatment (guess he is looking ahead) and I said IF I have a next treatment would be Doxil and I would lose my hair again.

I really like scarves more than wigs (or just bald) and those you can fix to fit any size head!!

Right now I know of 2 women in my area undergoing chemo and one of them I gave some of my things to her as she is small headed also.

    Thanks,
    Libby

    Doxil
I had 5 infusions of Doxil and did not lose the hair on my head or face. Oddly, the hair on my legs is very sparse.

    hmmm?
Wonder why they told me I'd lose my hair on Doxil? Again, different doctors, different doses, different age, weight, height??

This time around on gem/cis(carbo) I kept my hair (somewhat thinner), but none under my arms! Go figure!
