I'm Back
Yes I know, I vanished again.....sorry for that. Well another emergency trip to the ER a couple of weeks ago. I really thought that this was it for me, I couldn't breath and if the paramedics didn't get there when they did, I"m not sure how long after I would have been able to hold on. But I'm here! The fluid on my lungs had built up pretty bad but after a 10 stay in the hospital, they managed to drain it all this time and perfomed a proceedure where they injecteda talc like substance between my lung and this membran that sticks they them together so that fluid doesn't build up again.
I can't tell you what a relief it is to be able to breath. Also some really good news!!! I got the results of my recent CT scan, after being on Taxol every week for approximately 6 rounds so far and it is showing signs of improvement, so it's working. But can anyone tell me why it is after praying for these results for so long and my prayers are answered I'm still feeling scared? I'm so appreciative and I know it could have gone the other way yet I still don't feel at ease.
I hope the rest of you ladies are doing well and that I will hear from you. Again I apologize for my absense but I"m not always on the computer like my Meghan. She is doing great by the way. I felt terrible for her to have to witness what I had to go through a couple of weeks ago, she just sat there helplessly watching as they administered oxygen to me and rush me away in the ambulance. My poor little one. Anyway I will check in on you guys later. Love all of you so much.
Linda

Hiya Dorion
I am so pleased you are feling much better. I had exactly the same procedure as you before I knew I had cancer. It is not a nice procedure but the relief to be able to breath again is instantaneous isn't it?
The talc procedure (plueradesis) should be permanent and should stop the fluid coming back. I only had it done in one lung.
Take care lots love Tina xx0 -

Linda.....I guessed you were OK because I saw you on Face Book, but before that, I admit that I was getting a little antsy.
Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. I have heard great things about the procedure you had done.
I have Asthma and can attest that nothing is scarier than not being able to breathe. It's horrid!
Good on you for hanging tough, girl.

The saga continues... and praise the Lord for carrying you through once again. So good to see your smiling face. Lots of hugs ♥ prayers coming your way.
Thank you Bonnie, Tina, Katheryn, Carlene and Kathleen for welcoming me back with open arms. I feel guilty at times because I know I'm not here as often as I should and I feel I keep you guys lurching in the dark, but know that if anything serious happens that Meghan will fill you in. Yeah she got booted from this site, she is unable to sign in anymore, don't know why someone felt that nessessary but non the less they did, so she signs in on my name. She really loves all of you ladies and enjoys getting her feedback from you.
I continue to feel good, other than being tired a bit I'm having a lot of good moments and trying like heck to keep those pesky negative scarey thoughts out of my head and I thank God so much for each and every day that I'm able to put my two feet on the ground, how great HE is!!! I love you all so very much.

I don't understand why they booted Meghan out - she gave us all such strength with her wisdom on young shoulders. This is a site for carers as well as cancer sufferers!!!!
Keep thinking positive thoughts. I know it's not always easy as the negative thoughts come in as "a wave" and we have no control, but you have come so far and you have been blessed with Meghan.

I'm always happy when you check in, Linda, and know you're okay. You are so full of life and fun and have been through such a rough patch (understatement!) these past few months. Love to you and Meghan!0 -
Yea...
I'm so glad things
Yea...
I'm so glad things are looking up again.
You had us worried there, but you are really stronger than you know.
It's so good to see you back on the boards.
Take care my dear,
