Back to the hospital
I think he only has 2 weeks left of radiation and 1 more chemo treatment. I'm hoping that once we are done...he can have a time of healing and start feeling a bit like himself again. Just holding on to one day at a time...
Thanks,
Susie

Hi Susie and Lyle,

Hi Susie and Lyle,
Sorry to hear your recent news. It just never ends somedays does it?. There are many many ups and downs throughout this journey. If it is not one thing, it is another. Did they find out where the bleeding is coming from? Glad he was feeling better once he got admitted into the hospital. Hope things get better for both of you this week. Keep in touch. Prayers will continue.

Susie,
Prayers and good
Susie,
Prayers and good wishes for both you and Lyle. After the chemo and radiation are they considering surgery or does the kidney issue prevent that option. Lyle is lucky to have you by his side I agree with Sherrie try and find out the source of the bleeding.
Good luck --- just came back from a visit with my Dad the treatments certainly wear them out. I have to admire the patients who keep on going day after day.
Take care of yourself as well.
Lots of hugs,

Thanks for your notes. Lyle is still in the hospital. The source of the bleeding is unknown and they don't want to do the endoscopy in fear of them irritating the source that might be healing at this time. There is no more bleeding and his hemoglobin is maintaining at 10. There are other issues now. His white blood cell count is down to 1.1, his iron is low, and he is not able to keep in nutrition. So they are starting to feed him through the feeding tube every 4 hours to see if he can handle that. He is soooo tired and weak. Looks like another day or two in the hospital. I am going to stay home from work tomorrow so that I can meet with the doctors and get a good handle on what's going on. Lyle was frustrated today because he is having a hard time getting any answers from the doctors. However, when I called the hospital today...I got a wealth of information. I kind of think that he is soooo doped up right now that he is not maintaining the info.
Thanks for caring about us!!

Hi Susie,
My husband went through the same thing several times and they kept telling me they didn't want to scope him due to more irriatation. They finally scoped him and found that the stint they put in to hold together the surgery was leaking. He did finally get out of the hospital that time but it seemed like he would never get out. They also kept him pretty doped out probbaly for healing. It was hard for me due to the hospital was over an hour away and going back and forth really exausted me. Hang in there and talk with the doctors as much as you can. Praying for you guys. Haley0
