There was another poster on here who had a mass on her neck. I believe it was the side of her neck. I think her name was MichelaMaria. Her posting wasn't too long ago. I haven't see her post in awhile but I have been thinking about her!!
I'm just curious if the mass on my ovary and this could be related. Haven't heard back from my gp yet. Good news or bad, I just would like to know something. I have to make my husband stay off the Internet. Lol. He's a police officer so "investigating" is engrained in him. I told him that will only drive him crazy until we know a few more certainties.0 -

I find it all too consuming. I am very distracted today as I am waiting the results of a PET/CT scan. I read your previous post and see you have a 2yr old. I have young kids as well. VERY stressful to having to be going through this. I hope your ovarian mass is contained to the ovaries.
Oh, and Michaelmaria, I don't think she had the mass on her neck biopsied.0 -

I spoke to the nurse at my gp's office. She said that they want me to go to my gynocologist for a pap smear. He's sending over a copy of the u/s for him to look at. The nurse said that my gp had put a note on there for a gyn/oncol referral as well. I have a good friend who works at the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute. Called him and told him what was going on. He said he would ask one of the oncologists tomorrow if someone could see me to look at everything and give me an idea of what I'm dealing with. The nurse at my gp's office said "your ovary has a large mass that the dr doesn't know the etiology of". She did reiterate that there is a small mass on the right lobe of my thyroid and enlarged jugulodigastric nodes. At least I have a clue now that they don't consider it just a simple ovarian cyst.0 -

Hi,
I had a small spot show up on my thyroid when I had my last catscan. After an ultrasound, they said it was a goiter.
They will check it again in a year.
They did a ct scan on my neck because of a lump in my neck. That spot turned out to be a calcium deposit but they did see a small mass on my thyroid and some enlarged nodes. All of my "symptoms" are very in line with OVCA. My back pain is probably the one that frustrates me the most. My hips even ache. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's something else but being realistic that OVCA is a possibility.0
