    Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Once you become a cancer survivor, Birthdays are great thing to celebrate.

    Me! Another May baby. . I agree: as various friends of mine complain about birthdays and 'another year older', I just grin. I'm so happy to be alive! What's a few wrinkles?! And I'm a firm believer that we should enjoy pretty much any excuse for a celebration!

    And yet another May baby here!
    As I was diagnosed 7 weeks before my 55th birthday, and had one consultant "give me" 3-5 years, maximum, I am looking forward to my 60th birthday to show him how wrong he was. Coming up on 58 at the end of the month.

    The drs I chose to work with, after consulting with several appendix cancer experts, agreed up front that this cancer is low grade, slow growing, and probably won't recur for 15+ years, if at all. The dr who gave me the "expiration date" did so without reviewing my case or listening to my responses to his questions, so I knew to ignore his comments.
