Hi, Has anyone else been having problems with connecting to this site or posting/answering a question around this time every night. I'm in Ca and it's 9:30. This site slows down so much that Sometimes I just quit and go to bed. I know it's not my network because I can go on all other sites without a problem, and I have a new mac book so my computer is up to speed. Frustrating...

    Hi Jill
Yes, I have that sometimes too. There is a lot of traffic here at times, that slows it down. I hear they are working on it. I think this is why sometimes people post the same thing multiple times. If one looks at the lower left section of their browser, you can see that it's working.
    We patients need more patience...

    what is irritating
is when I take the time to reply to a post and then it won't post.I just shut it down and say "well , I guess that wasn't meant to be". I'm almost sure that is how the multiple posts happen. Folks keep trying to send a post and when the site finally wakes up it posts every time you hit comment button.

To be honest figured I was doing something stupid/wrong. I didnt grow up in a world of computers and truth be told technology pretty much leaves me cold. It is a running joke in my family that since everyone got cell phones no one can get a hold of me anymore. I never know where I put the thing, its battery is dead, I cant hear it ring unless I am right next to it.... I need an old phone plugged into a wall with a cord like we used to have in various areas of the house and even in the garge/work shop. anyone else remember party lines, numbers that started with words, or where only 5 digits long for local calls? We go out to eat and I see four young people sitting at a table all talking to someone who is not at the table on there cell phones, really, what is the point. It seems the more the world shrinks, the faster we run, and the farther we get away from personal contact and simple ettiquete.
I know there are great advantages to all of the latest gadgets, this site being one, but I so miss the days of talking to live people, watching a show on tv without five different and unrelated things running across or popping up on the screen, and not having a cell phone interupt a quiet evening out somewhere with my wife.
Wow I sound like an old man, LOL.

Oftentimes I can't get thru and a notice appears saying site is
currently overloaded, or something to that effect, yet most of the time I see under 100 people on line, according to number shown when you log in. How many people cause an overload? (or maybe our common enemy got to site as well?)....steve

I not had a post not go through in a very long time, it may take some time like a minute which is an eternity on the web. We're spoiled, remember dial-up service?

    I hear ya
Sometimes its great to be unavailable. I personally do not care for phones, I'd rather email or talk in person. I'm sure they have phones for the shower too. Is nothing sacred?

    The reason is obvious
God must have a better internet connection.

just tried the new chat room
I just tried the chat room to see if there is a problem with slow network. Nope! Works great. ACS needs to work on this site. It should be so slow. I had to log out and back in just to connect. ACS are you reading!!!!!!

    slow, yes
Good morning, all. I find that even in mid-afternoon this site is slow, but then I figure this is a busy site. People really rely on the support from others here that they don't get from others. Take care and God Bless. Margaret

    Yes, Jill.
I'm reading... The web team has been working to restore chat as the first priority. Now that it is restored, this other issue will be investigated.

The best way to bring problems to our attention is to use the CSN contact form. There is a link to it in the top right corner of every page on CSN. These forms alert us more quickly to problems. Also, the more people who report problems, the better idea we have as to how many people are affected.

    Best regards,
    Greta
