Had first radiation today.
Had first radiation today. It was not bad at all and I came right home and put on my Aquaphor and white men's t-shirt. A few survivor friends told me to cream up from day one and I hope it helps. I'm with you, glad to be getting on with it. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll do fine.0 -

Good luck to both of you! Yes, using the creams and lotions from the first helps. I would use aloe gel before I got dressed again. The sooner the better. It takes longer to get undressed and dressed again then it does for the treatment.0 -

I got Fruit of the Earth Gel today. It is 100% aloe based. Have to put it on 3 times a day beginning day one.

Yes!
I would also use my lotions at the hospital before I got dressed again. For you, Donna, you might want to ask about using the lotions even beforehand since you still have some time before you start. My rads nurse suggested I start with the lotions about 3 days before my 1st treatment. I figure it couldn't hurt to have your skin in good condition going into this thing.
Best of luck to both of you. Also remember to keep hydrated and get as much rest as you need. You can see the finish line ahead!
Take care,
