    Cops
In 44 years of driving I have been pulled over once, I was about 18, said I made a right on red, I said it wasn't really red, more yellow or a little pink but definitely not red, he laughed and let me go after gabbing for a while. Only time ever pulled over. Never had a ticket, no parking ticket either and never had a chargeable accident.

Now George, he has had a few, long time ago. In fact, when he was around 18 he had to hitch hike over to my house because he lost his license. Has been pretty good ever since.

Are we aging ourselves or what........

    Question..
It was dark one night and I was going to work (11-7) when a car got right on my bumper so the next time the road had a passing lane I slowed up and it did not pass me. This was before cell phones were popular and I got kind of scared until he turned on blue lights... to ask me if I painted my car because it was registered as red and it was blue. lol

Last time I got pulled over
Last time I got pulled over it was for having a right turn signal that wasn't working. My behavior was suspicious because I knew the turn signal was out and i saw the cop behind me so I changed from the right hand lane went immediately to the left and turned left when I wanted to turn right. I went into a parking lot and waited for the cop to pass so I could go back the way I wanted to and the cop watched all of this so he pulled me over for suspicious behavior. I had a surcharge that I missed from a previous ticket and if you area at all late making the payment they immediately revoke your liscense. I was unaware that I was late making my payment and that they had revoked my liscense. So, I got busted for the tail signal and driving without a liscense. I almost went to jail but the policeman had mercy on me. It all worked out - as soon as I made the necessary payment they reinstated my liscense but it cost me big bucks and put on drivers probation for 6 months.

the last ime I was pulled
the last ime I was pulled over was Thanksgiving Eve 2008. I had my daughters (ages 5 and 9) in the car. We were on outr way to their gymnatics class. It was a 2 lane hgihway, The State Police officer had another car pulled over. I just kept going and he came up behind me about 5 seconds later and pulled me over. I had no idea why I was pulled over. It was because in PA it is a law to move to the other lane if someone is pulled over. He was very mean and was screaming at me. I was scared. It cost me $100 plus. I had no idea tghat was the law. What a jerk!!!!

    Let's be careful out there!
This isn't exactly a pullover story, but it's definitely one I'll always remember. One night a few months ago, I headed to church for my Bible study. I was thinking about the week's reading and the people in the group, etc. I pulled in the lot, humming to myself. I grabbed my Bible, stepped out of the car, and turned around to face 4 cops who had my car blocked in with their cars. They were standing there with guns drawn! I didn't even have time to be scared. Just a momentary, "What the heck????" As soon as this little lady (all 4'10" of me) was out of the car, the cop closest to me said, "We're sorry. We're sorry. Your car looked like one we're trying to find." I just grinned and said, "Y'all have a good night. I'll pray for you." Thus ended my life as a criminal. *L*

    *hugs*

    Only one ticket
I have had only one ticket in 37 years, O.K. I should get one daily. I was pulled over 3 days after I had my port put in. This was October 2009. I did not have my seat belt on, the seat belt went over my port and it hurt, I was less then a mile from home. The ticket cost $150 dollars!

I just wonder where are the police when someone is demonstrating road rage because traffic is going to slow? I guess they are giving tickets to cancer patients for a nonmoving violation!

    cops
Only once my wife parents have a farm but we live in the city. The local cops were stopping everyone in this farm town because a teenage girl had been out jogging and had disappeared. They found her raped and murdered body in a local corn field some time later. The cops all knew her and her family. They had to tell her family and carry the girls body out of a field. Cops have it made don't they? Well at least they are appreciated for traffic enforcement. It is always the cops fault when someone gets a ticket.

a couple of months ago - I ws in the far right lane and needed to get to the far left lane to turn.

I apparently sped up REALLY fast to change lanes and got popped. The cop let me go with a warning. later that day I got home and get a text emssage from my neighbor "Slow Down sister" Huh? She was the former prosecutor for my village and knows all the Cops. The cop called her because he saw I lived enxt door and and he said "do you know Peggy? She was doing 70 in a 50. she pulled the cancer card on my behalf and told him to let me go!

    Valentine's Day weekend
Living in a small town we don't have to worry about all of the hustle and bustle of city life.
My husband, daughter and I went to Chicago for the weekend. After a four hour drive and a Garmin that kept leading us nowhere, my husband ran a red light downtown accidently. Then he ran another one...this time a cop saw him. We got pulled over and thankfully he was just given a warning. Chicago is expensive enough without a pricey ticket for running a red light. He actually led us in the right direction and we found our hotel. To say the least we took a taxi to Maggiano's, a great Italian restaurant.

    On my way
to work, I take this two lane rural back road, to miss toll road, and the vehicl in front slowed down to make a right hand turn, so I decided to go around the vehicle right before the turn and that's when the lovely blue lights kicked on. I pulled off the road, handed my license and registration and DID not say a word. He showed me his badge. I am pretty sure he was not with the local officers, because he came back and indicated that he could not find a officer in the area to write me a ticket. He told me to slow down and let me go.

    Speeding
On my way to coach my son's last basketball game over a year ago. Odd thing was that the same cop pulled over me and someone else (not at the same time) and BOTH of us were (allegedly) doing 51 in a 30 mph zone. HOW strange was THAT? Both doing exactly 51. Total BS.

Let me take this one step further.
Has anyone used their cancer to get out of a ticket?
I did once. I had to work overtime on a Sunday so I could go into the city for chemo the next day. I was going a little over the speed limit and a cop pulled me over. I asked if he really HAD to give me a ticket. He made sure I wasn't "wanted" and he let me go and told me to have a good night.

    Cancer card
I did not pull the cancer card when I got my ticket for not wearing my seat belt. I knew I should have had it on so I figured I deserved it. I got the ticket at 5:30 pm and there was a guy in a truck that was very angry because traffic was moving too slowly for him. He was weaving in and out of traffic, speeding up like crazy when he had a chance even pulling into a turn lane to get around people. If the policeman saw me not wearing my seat belt he had to also see this guy. Oh well, maybe they were friends.

Til I got wiser, my first of numerous speeding tickets on the
Garden State parkway involved myself and two fancy black cars. I was doing about 80 (speed limit 65) when I noticed this black sedan behind me, almost tailgating so I moved from far left (4 lanes at this area of Pkwy)to let car pass but he just moved behind me so I thought he wanted to play games so I went faster. he kept following me, even after I'd switch lanes and hit 90, 95. Then I noticed a second fancy black car behind me, next to first one but I kept going. I kept going after the first and then a minute or so later the second car put this flashing red light on their dashboard; looking thru rearview and turning head, trying to figure out what those two **** wanted and who they were.

As I kept passing cars with these two tailing me ,I noticed whover I passed was giving me strange looks so I decided to pull over to right lane. The two black sedans followed, lights afire and rotating (never heard their sirens cos my tapedeck was on-good ole John Lee Hooker boom booming away
    )
Eventually I pull over onto grass, both cars behind me. I stop, they stop but I move up a bit and decide to get out of the car. It was the day of New Years Eve, 1998. Something told me to put my hands in the air so as I got out of my rented car, I raised my hands as I angrily started walking toward the two black cars until I saw the first young guy get out and put his Trooper hat on, while the guy in the second car got out with his gun already aimed at my head. They yelled at me to stay where I was and not move. But by then I realized I'd been chased the past eight or so minutes by two unmarked police cars while I was going up to 95, 100 MPH!!!!Never occurred to me those fancy sedans were driven by uniformed officers. We spoke for quite awhile and they realized I was serious in not knowing they were cops even tho I had been speeding. Needless to say, I got the first of many speeding tickets on Gardenstate in NJ. I can tell ya alot of funny stories as a result, including court time, bench warrants, humorous outcomes (at least I thought they were funny)but this was the first. It took quite a few more for me to wise up. No tickets now in quite some time.....Drive safely, I might be on the road......steve

    Thankfully
I cannot remember. But now that you bring up this subject, I nearly turned right on a red light until I saw the no turn on red light sign. I stopped, backed up and waited til it turned green. Then I saw these video cameras on top of the light, I think that should not be legal, getting a camera ticket in the mail.

    Last Friday,last jan,last november.
We have these things called random breath tests. You get pulled over and get to blow in the bag to see if your alcoholic breath turns the crystals green. They pick on me all the time and I don't drink. Thank goodness presciption meds don't turn the crystals green. Ron.
