6 Month PET/CT

Hi all. a week ago yesterday I had my 6 month PET. Saw Onco today and everything looks clear. He gave me the OK to have my port removed. Will see surgeon next Thursday and get his take on everything before scheduling port removal. As most of you know who have completed treatment, this has been a rough year. For those of you still battleing, hang in there. I continue to feel better as time goes on. I thank you all for your support and input on this site. Best to all.

    One Rough Year....
    Yes Mike - I,too had a clean PET on 4/19/10 (Hooray for US!) and looking back, I could never begin to imagine getting thru this last year... but we did!
    I am so happy for your healing! It is a true milestone. I bet it will be good to get the port out, I will talk to my onc in May. Again Congratulations!

    Mike- excellent: bigtime. My 1-year came back on 4/16 as clean, and I can appreciate the exceptional time you are now living. This is a very happy for you- a happy we all share, and do appreciate.

    Thank-you all!
    I have felt quite upbeat the last few days since getting my PET results. I didn't realize the anxiety I had leading up to the PET and waiting for the results. I see this morning that some on this site are not having things go as well. I am finding it hard to be happy for myself when others are in for more pain and suffering. Thank-you all for your support and for sharing your experiences with me over the last 6 months. I am still amazed at the kindness, caring and support for others that exists here. I remember after finding this site I spent some time looking for posts that described a positive outcome. I hope those beginning here can take something from my good news. My heart goes out to those still fighting. Once again, thank-you all.

    I am right there with you Mike. I ind it difficult to post anything related to my journey when others are not fairing as well, relatively speaking. Yet I also know it's important to celebrate our milestones and breakthroughs.
