waiting for results of lung fluid
I posted under red dye allergy to both of you and realized I may have been posting incorrectly so I will let you know we are waiting since Sunday for the results of the fluid they took off her lungs. They say the high heart rate was her heart trying to move the fluid . There was no infection so now we wait to see the lovanox thinned her blood too much or if there are cancer cells in there. My nerves are just going crazy waiting for the results. I thank both of you for your posting to me. Grandma Jo

Hi Grandma Jo
Thanks for your update. Oh yes the never ending "waiting" game. We all know very well what that is. There is a saying though that says good things come to those who wait. This could be good news. Or no news is good news. Hope all goes well. Let us know how you are doing.

Dear Loretta, William and Tina
Thank you for your concern and comforting words. I am so happy to let you know that the liquid in the lungs was shown as clear of cancer cells , blood clots and infection. We were so relieved to find this out. The time just crawled by until we knew. She still feels sick to her stomach and does not gain weight . Her lungs seem weak to me since the operation. She has this sound as if she is breathless when she talks I notice it more when we talk over the phone. She did go back to work to hang on to her insurance. I worry so about her getting so tired.
Since we last spoke my mother was hospitalized for congestive heart disease. They took 18 pounds of water off her lungs and heart. Now we are having to approach the horrible decision as to keeping her in the hospital so she can be cared for by nursing or let her go home with family help. She is such an independent woman of 89 years this would be so hard on her to be away from her farm house . She has lived there for 67 years. Loretta what is it about our Moms that makes them so strong? The world needs so many more of these fine ladies. Thank you for sharing your story of caregiving for your Sister. Sometimes we caregivers get tired and need to hear another families story of love and caring for each other.
Thank you for your encouragement. Grandma Jo0 -
