waiting
I hate having to wait - my onc was on vacation when I had my last CT scan. I had to wait a week and then I had a nodule on a lung that we must watch. In this age of insta-everything you would think they could manage quicker (and easier) results for tests like that.
Best of luck weathering the wait!0 -
Chip
Chip,
You have popped into my mind a lot this week. I was wondering how you have been. Yes, you got it, you are in my prayers. Praying for that All Clear!
Aloha,

I,too had been wondering about you. You were one of the first to welcome me here and share your Stage 4 living well story. My scan will be on May 10th and I'm already anxious so I understand. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Its gonna be good..I just feel it.

Mine was originally scheduled for May 10 as well, but something came up, so I moved it up to April 26. I'm in scanxiety mode, too. I'm lucky in that I'll get my results right away.
Hope all goes well for all of us!0 -
Stage IV
Hi Chip,
I was diagnosed with stage IV colon, they put me on chemo just so I could last a little longer, no talk of surgeries, etc. Just kind of a six month but we really can't predict life span. Any words of hope for me there buddy?0 -

Hi there,
I am not Chip, but I want to welcome you to this forum. I hope you find it as useful as I have. I was diagnosed with colon cancer March/09. I began chemo + radiation in June. In Aug/09, they determined that I had 4 tumours on my liver, so the surgery that was planned for the fall was off - the nurse told me that they wanted to work on the liver mets; otherwise the cancer the cancer in the liver would grow while I had the surgery. I was put on folfiri + avastin in September + have been on it since then. Every case is different, my surgeon said "I don't have a crystal ball". I have met a colon cancer (stage 4) of ~ 15 years @ my cancer centre; she volunteers there.0 -

Well I got dx in 9/06 and I'm still here. this was with liver mets and lung mets....It has not been easy and mentally, I took a beating as a 49 year old father of two great kids....12 - 14. I went through folfox for 10 months and had an embolism... but I still teach and work and follow that adage... fall down 7 stand up 8.

Praying
Hi Chip,
Happy to hear from you. I will be praying for your trip and for great results. Why is it that these scans bring us such anxiety? Praying for peace. Please let us know how things turn out.
Blessings and Hugs,
