I am a newby here and am so pleased to have been guided to this site. I am encouraged, thankful, curious, scared and hopeful by what you all have shared with each other. Some of you guys have a real "Ministry". Due to an annual relocation to SW Ontario for the summer, I have changed Onc, in Mich, and He has put me on FOLFOX 6 from FOLFOX 4. I have had few serious side effects from "4" and am curious if others have similiar experiences. I just compleated the first "6" treatment- my fifth overall. My main side issues are mouth discomfort and being worn out. So far, I am one of the very fortunate ones. Thanks for letting me jump on board.

    Happy,
    Welcome to this site!

    Happy,

Welcome to this site! I think you will find it very helpful. Where in SW ON do you relocate to? I am from just outside Toronto.

    what is the difference
    Hi,

I'm curious as to what the difference is with Folfox 4 vs. Folfox 6. I'm not even positive what one I was one (Sept.2007-Jan2008)- I think it was Folfox 6. Is the difference just in dosages? Just curious.

Wishing you all the best with the onc changes and changes in the type of Folfox.

    I'm curious also. I don't
I'm curious also. I don't know what John was on but he mention her saying ( our new Onc) something about FOLFOX 6. I didn't hear that. Good to have more ears in the room to listen I guess.
Hope you have good results. My best to you, Paula

    Folfox 4 and 6
In my case 4 was two days of about 3 hours drip then 24 hour on pump. 6 is about 4 hours on drip and 46 hours on pump. I think drugs are the same. My issue was convience as I must cross the border each day for treatment.
