Santa Clauses ~ Words To Remember
People need me… they depend on me. We’re doing something important here… and knowing that gives me the energy to carry the sack, lead the pack, and to keep coming back.
Just how do I keep everyone, including myself, on track and motivated throughout each long year - - - all for one night’s big splash? The answer is basic & simple: through an unwaivering and uncompromising focus on OUR MISSION.
You can’t possibly focus on your mission without also focusing on the folks that make your mission happen.
It seems to me that what makes a workshop special and wonderful is not walls and ceilings, but what happens inside those walls and under those ceilings… it’s not how a workshop stands, but what it stands FOR that makes it special.
Nothing motivates people more than knowing they’re making a difference.
Being good means being good all the time… there are no time-outs… no crossing your fingers behind your back. EVERYTHING counts!
My job comes with many challenges and responsibilities… but it is a necessary and important job… and it can be a rewarding one – if I do it right.
My elves and reindeer are depending on me, just as I depend on them… I cannot let them down.
I can never forget that getting big things done all year long isn’t about magic… it’s about leadership.

Thanks, Michelle!
I actually met Santa Claus this past year - his schedule was kinda' busy so he dubbed me Santa Craig and told me to make some special deliveries for him - he even lent me a couple of his reindeer - we went all over the United States and across the border to Canada, and we rode the warm winds to the Hawaiian islands as well - what a trip that was.
We passed out Christmas CDs to so many of our Semi;nation family and brough some joy into their lives, if only for a brief moment. I had my own workshop at home to do this - and a couple of Santa's elves on the assembly line helping me put it all together.
But all kidding aside, that was one of the most wonderful experiences in my life - to be able to play Santa Craig and pass out some goodie baskets to so many deserving people on this board. It brought joy and camaraderie to the board - and took everyone's mind off their cancers for a spell - really rewarding. And it was so much fun to read everyone's responses and have them tell you that they were playing the music in their homes and it was part of the holidays - doesn't get much better than that, eh?
Trainer got one too - and he even offered to help this Texas Santa if we do that again...he's a proud elf as well, LOL:)
After that, I hung up my red suit, and turned it back over to Santa - his job is mighty indeed!
Thanks for your thoughts - great talking to you! Thank you so much for your kind words on my recent posts - meant alot...glad to see you doing well...I remember well when I first talked to you and the apprehensions and feelings you had at that time. To see you come through it, does warm one's heart - even an ol'Grinch like me, LOL:)
