Just checking in.....
I love seeing my family and friends here. Both 'homes' are grand! I have been lurking and reading here on CSN, just feel that I am so far out from treatment that I don't have much to offer...it will be 4 years post any treatment (breast cancer after rectal) for me in June (5 years since the rectal).
Hans is good, the new pacemaker is doing GREAT. WHAT a year last year was...and the last 5 for that matter, starting with the colorectal and breast cancer, thru the rest with Hans' heart and my daughter's passing!!!
I send all my love to you warriors in the thick of the battle. I guess all I can say is keep your eye on the prize...your life back! Believe me, it WILL happen!!!
Hugs to all, Kathi

You're a Living Testimony
Hi Kathi
So nice to see you...you're a regular Globetrotter, aren't you? I need a program to keep up with where you are at, LOL:)
The last 5 years of your life has certainly been a heartbreak alright - we just made 10 and working on #11 now. Seems like it will never end sometimes, but we just keep truding along until we get it right.
You have much to offer - folks like you, who have made it through, are "walking & living" testimonies for other folks looking for a golden nugget, called Hope.
Enjoy yourself - sounds like you are doing that and more!

good to hear from you
Hi Kathi,
Good to hear from you! Sorry you came back to water damage and such- that's never fun, but glad you're getting it taken care of and you're enjoying the weather. It's a good thing you left Holland before the stop on flights yesterday with the Icelandic volcano spewing ash over the skies and causing all flights from the UK and northern Europe to be shut down.
If you haven't already checked in or spoken to our friend in common, you may want to do that. She's had a lot going on.
Take care Kathi and, as always, you are an inspiration to us all, so don't think you don't have anything to offer here! We need inspiration, hope, and your contagious joy for life!

What do you mean you have nothing to offer????? This board isn't just for cancer, but your words and encouragement and you showing that you are a survivor, and here beating this, and telling your story is a HUGE reason to be here. I love hearing your stories about Holland and the States, it's nice to read things about other people's lives, so I can escape mine sometimes. You were always and still a huge inspiration to me! And you make us laugh and smile, that's what we ALL need
I'm sorry to hear about the damages to your house, but glad to hear everything is getting fixed
Keep posting away on those fantastic journeys you take, it's amazing and just a dream you are living, you are more then just someone with cancer, you're a great person!
Hugsss!
