CT scan tomorrow
Tomorrow I get my post chemo cat scan and find out whether I need more treatment or go on the every 3 month check up schedule. I really would appreciate prayers. I am kind of nervous but just ask God to take care of me. On Thursday getting an EGD and dilation to find out why I am coughing so much and throwing up more than usual. I lost more weight which is scary because I eat what I think is alot. It is so hard to keep it on and I think the coughing even shakes the weight off. LOL!!! I won't find out my ct results till 4/21 when I go back to the oncologist. He is my favorite dr, so kind and caring. thanks in advance for the prayers!!!! prayers for all, take care,

Praying for you Donna. My hubby is about to be done with his treatments and will also have his scans too. They will also draw blood once a week to check and see if any tumors show up in the blood. It is scary, but what can get you through (me and all of us) is to keep our faith in God.
Love,

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for those prayers. Got thru the CT scan pretty good and even got 1.5 containers of barium down pretty good since I usually can only get a cup in every 2 hrs. I asked them to mail me a copy of the test and they said they would after the drs is mailed. My nurse at the Cancer center said maybe they shouldn't do that, if it looks bad, I will stop reading and wait for my dr to interpret. I like to have my records so I can know what it says and ask questions. I have a medical background and my sister is an X-ray and MRI tech so she is a help too. Call me nosy Rosy. Hope that Jeff's went well too. We need as much good news on this site as possible. Thanks again, love this board!! take care, prayers for all,

I remember how hard it was to get enough barium down for my last CAT scan before surgery.

God Be With You
Hi dearest Donna,
Hope all goes well for you these next few days. I am sure you will get the answers you want to hear. You might just need a dilation to fix the coughing/vomiting issue. You cough because you think you have to clear your throat, you vomit because the food has no where else to go, after the dilation, that should not be a problem. Most of the time a dilation is needed because scar tissue builds up around the area the surgery was done. Keep your positive attitude. Let us know how you make out.
