My 2nd scan and I'm more nervous than with my 1st...

Hi everyone, I go for my second scan this afternoon and I think I'm more nervous than I was when I had my first scan done. The doctors said I was in remission after the first scan and I'm praying that the tumors have continued to shrink or at least they have not grown or spread.

At least this time I will get the results faster, I only have to wait until Weds. the 14th. With the first scan I had a full week to pray for the best and expect the worst ;-)

I had told everyone that I thought it would get easier with each scan but I spoke too soon. I'm hoping to find a way to keep my mind on other things while I wait but somehow the doubts keep creeping back into my little brain - LOL.

I will post the results next week and hope they are cause for a happy dance!!! I have no real reason to think they will be bad as I am feeling fine and nothing seems to have changed so I guess it's just me being a worry wart.

Take care,
Glenna

I saw OncoMan just yesterday, Glenna, to get the results of my latest scan, so I know exactly where you are coming from. In my case, the worrisome part of it was not the scan itself but waiting for the results.

My results turned out to be very good, but I do understand your anxiety. It is natural and it is true that this anxiety never quite goes away, but, Glenna, it DOES lessen a bit over time.

Best wishes for an excellent report, Glenna.

    Take care,

    Joe

    Good results - YEAH!!!
I'm happy to hear that your scan results were good, that's all any of us can ask for. Other than a cure.

I hope you're right that the anxiety lessens with time. I do so good at thinking positive, actually I don't think about the cancer much at all until it's time for another scan. Then the worrisome side of me takes over. I will be fine, I know, I only have 5 days to wait for the results and I refuse to let the waiting ruin my weekend.

I'm sure that I will be posting good results next Wednesday!!

Take care and keep on enjoying ;-)
