Finished! Finally! (I hope..)

Just had to post that I have had my final surgery this morning. The end of the reconstruction process, and am so relieved that I am now at the end of another fun and exciting portion of this roller coaster ride we call "being diagnosed with cancer".
This has been such an amazing ride, the ups and downs, wondering if it will ever be over, and I have to say that finding this site and all of you here, has been one of the very high "ups".
I have to admit, unlike others, I have a wonderful support system of family, friends and co-workers, who have always been there for me, encouraging, helping and loving, and I am very grateful to them all, but having my sisters (and brothers) here, who know firsthand what we are going through, makes a huge difference, and I am so very glad I found this site.

    Wonderful news
    I am glad you found the site too as you have been an inspiration to me. I still have to go back in for the nipple portion of the recon and a bit of tweaking, I was sick when it was orig. scheduled and I have simply put it off.

    Glad you are done, time to celebrate!

    I, like you, have been blessed to have such a great support system with my husband, family, friends and co-workers. I don't know what I would have done without them. And, high on my list are all of my bc sisters here! This site and all of you are amazing!

    Cat, so glad to hear that you've had your last surgery. Doesn't it feel wonderful to say that there are no surgeries on the horizon!

    I raise my always happy to have it glass to you, Cats_toy. Last surgery, hooray. It is quite a ride, isn't it? But definitely not an e ticket attraction. I also have a good support system but love my online buds. They have a special understanding and you are so right, it makes a big difference. Again, I am so happy for you.

    Congratulations, Cat! You've done so much for everyone here and it's a real joy to see that you've reached the finish line! I know exactly what you mean with the "(I hope)". I sometimes wonder if we will ever stop thinking about it, but at the very least, we do have each other and have a lot in common without a doubt. I'll be finishing rads next week. Reconstruction won't be for at least 3-4 months down the road. I'm very happy for you... ENJOY!!
