Take a deep breath...
I know that you are worried, but urgent care is not equipped to do an endeometrial biopsy so I would not recommend you go that route. Endometrial cancer is generally not fast growing, and a week or two won't make any difference in the final outcome. Many of us have had to wait several weeks or more to get a biopsy scheduled, and another 2-4 weeks to have our hysterectomy,if the biopsy was positive.
I know one's first reaction is "get this stuff out of my body...and FAST", but at this point, you don't know what you are dealing with. If your biopsy is positive, the most important time is take your time in exploring your options. Get a second option with a gyn oncologist if possible, ask lots of questions, etc. But, first you need to just try to relax, focus your energy on your boys, etc. and wait until you get the results of your biopsy.
Let us know how it comes out!! And IF it would happen to be positive, there are so many women on this board who will help answer your questions.

Sorry to hear that you are having female problems. It sounds like you have been through a lot. Having a biopsy next week is probably as fast as it can be done. Most of us had to wait even longer. Please don't worry too much about the biopsy as worrying won't change anything as far as the ultimate outcome. You could have a cyst which is bleeding. Usually there is an ultrasound done before a biopsy but having the biopsy is a good thing. Hang in there for your children and try not to get too freaked out. Keep us posted on the outcome. Glad you found this site to bring your questions to. You will know pretty soon what you are dealing with. From the time I was diagnosed until I had surgery was 4 weeks. If you do have cancer get two opinions about the type of surgery you will need.

Hello Im 29 and found out on march 22nd 2010 i had the cancer im having a full hysterectomy on April 16th they told me mine they think is a grade 1 but they can not fully tell until the hysterectomy is done, from what i researched this cancer is slow to grow so to wait a week or 2 for the D&C is not so bad i bleed for a few years with clots that was very larage i had many paps and test done and nothing was found until the D&C i had past out and had a blood transfusion last month and it took them a week after to do the D&C i was a scard of this but the main thing is stay clam
i agree with lori it could just be a Cyst that brakes open and it bleeds but it may not just stay postive until you get that finel report if u do have cancer ( again i just found out my self mine was cancer and im 29 ) it is very scary but we most stay postive thats easer to say then to do we are all here for you i pray yours is not cancer

My 2 endometrial biopsies were 'non-diagnostic' (in other words, they didn't get enough tissue to make a conclusive diagnosis) and it wasn't until I had a D&C that they were able to tell that I probably had cancer. I'm just thinking that a D&C might clear up your bleeding problems, too, and take care of other problems you may be having unrelated to cancer.
((((hugs))) for the scary-ness of all this, and for the biopsy itself, which is no picnic.0 -
Thank you to everyone that
Thank you to everyone that responded. I was losing it yesterday and I really do need to pull it together for my boys and my husband. For a week there I fell into a depression and didnt do anything all day long but sit in my pj and scour the internet for info. I have an appt for the biopsy on April 14th at Planned Parenthood but just got the my insurance back after some problems with my husbands insurance co dropping me at the beginning of the year. I call my ob/gyn that delivered my last little boy 2 1/2 years ago and the soonest they could get me in is April 26th. I am on the cancellation list in case something opens up sooner. Trying to decide if I should just go to planned parenthood or wait till the 26th to see my doctor. i also am thinking of just requesting the D&C instead of the biopsy since most woman are saying that biopsies dont always come back conclusive. I am really freaked out that I am not getting my period at all now. I have never skipped a period before except of course when i was pregnant and breastfeeding. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I've been feeling very bloated and nauseous the last few days. Having a hard time eating a full meal but think maybe its the nerves?0 -

Just my 2 cents, but I would wait for the 26th and see your regular doctor....They should take bloodwork and schedule an ultrasound to see what is going on in there. Sounds like a D & C is in the cards for you which they can do pathology tests on that tissue.
Please take it one step at a time.....
Hang in and check back in with us!!

I agree with Linda and Laurie...I would wait to see your gynecologist...A D&C seems like a better option than the biopsy. Biopsy results are not always accurate because it depends on the exact spot the biopsy is taken.....Hang in there...We all care about you!

My uterine cancer was diagnosed via a D&C and planned parent hood won't get into that part...I don't think. Why wait until 26th, as seems so long? If I called my docs office and was concerned about no period and thinking the worst, they'd get me in for appt within days. Not a possibility?
From the D&C they found 2 small tumors which they did biopsy. It was cancer, so then the hysterectomy.
Hang in there as you know your body the best! Go to bad for what you want to get back in working order...
Best to you!

Thanks Jan! I called on Friday because my lower back has been hurting and I have been feeling nauseous and bloated the last few days. They are going to bring me in on Monday to meet with the nurse practitioner and get blood work started. My doctor isnt available to be seen till the 26th unfortunately but at least we will have started the ball rolling. I will keep everyone up to date and appreciate all the support I have found on the amazing site!0 -

I was diagnosed with uterine cancer right before CHristmas and a week after my only daughter's engagement. I am 56 and yes, very afraid...I DO understand how you have to feel!
I had surgery on JAnuary the 15th....they removed everything, cervix, uterus, tubes, and ovaries...they did not remove the lymph nodes as the pathology report at the time of surgery stated I wqas Stage 1, Class 1B ( only 10 % of the uterine wall was involved) and MOST IMPORTANT, Grade 1...I have personally met many women who have had the same kind of cancer, others, in the ovaries and cervix,(it is scary that in this small, rural community where I live there are sooo many of us. I have also met, via, internet and thru friends and relatives many more women....The prognosis is very good at the stage my cancer was, which I am sure that is probably where you are. I know a lady who had cervical cancer 30+ years ago, when she was about your age. Hers was Stage 3....She is doing great!!! Please, honey, keep up your spirit and everything will be find. Please, let me know how you are doing...
Best of luck!
Rocio
P.D. By the way, my GYN is very positive that cancer is gone for good and he has more than 30 years of experience in the field. However, this is something you will live with it for the rest of your life....0 -
saw NP on Monday
I saw the nurse practitioner on Monday. I started my period finally on Sunday before. She gave me Loestrin birth contol pills to get control of the bleeding. I am taking 4 pills for 4 days, 3 pills a day for 3 days then 2 pills for 2 days then on to one a day. It has stopped the bleeding altogether. I am still very nauseous and having a hard time getting food in me and feeling so bloated. I went to the gym yesterday and worked out but just exhausted and out of breath after 20 min so headed home to rest. My ultrasound is this Tuesday so keeping my fingers crossed for the best! I've had 4 C-sections and have had twins so I know my uterus is in bad shape. I've heard that woman with multiple c-sections have a higher risk for uterine cancer?0 -
