Got all three neupagen shots last week, white cound did come up a little bit, but not enough
Now they are sending me out to a hematologist to see what he can do to get the white count to come up and to see why the chemo is affecting my blood this way.

Please pray I will not have to go to the hospital that anything he does can be done as out patient basis and that God will bring this white count up and it will start to rise in the name of Jesus

    counts
    AZ,

I have had trouble with my counts since the beginning. My chemo should have been over in January, but I am still at it 3 months later - guess I should be Praising the Lord that I am still able to have chemo! First time around I did not get to finish b/c of white counts! And did not get to finish maintenance (guess never did really start) because of white counts and platelets.

My onc told me my bone marrow is sensitive (should be after all the chemo). But my Bible tells me that we are each wonderfully made. Maybe we are not all made to have the same chemo (weight, height and age, etc figured in of course) for the same amount of time.

Regardless, my family and myself have chosen to believe that God knows when I need chemo and when I do not.

I have Neulasta shots, Neumega shots and Neupagen shots (when my Neulasta runs out b/c my Neumega shots don't get my platelets up fast enough). Does get confusing - that is why I have to write down when I give myself what shot, what side of my stomach (or arm if my daughter is in, or my husband will - just trained him).

I do go for a second opinion sometime soon. My onc is in private practice, so I have never had a "team" of doctors. Who knows?

Praying you do not get too discouraged and praying in the Name of Jesus for your white counts to rise up on their own and for you to be able to finish your chemo in a timely matter and for God to get the Glory through it all!

    Living for Eternity,
    Libby
