Prayers for Saundra Easter Thread

As most of you know, Saundra goes into surgery Monday and I thought it might be nice for all of us to send her wishes and prayers today and tomorrow that she can bring with her. It is interesting to me that both Saundra and Bonnie need surgery at this time. I have faith that since it's Easter both of them will rise to the challenge and be back here to provide support and prayers for all of us. So I will say an extra prayer tomorrow for her to make it through and feel better when it is done.

    I attend Mass on Saturday
    I attend Mass on Saturday instead of Sunday. I said special prayers for both Bonnie and Saundra tonight. And I added their names to what we call the "prayers of the faithful". It means special intentions of parishioners, that everyone joins in and prays for.

    A couple of weeks ago, while helping Mom recover from a minor surgery that revealed that her cancer has become active, she said she felt guilty for taking refuge from her problems in sleep. I said, Don’t you think God wants you to rest in comfort? Don’t you think he says, come to me little one, my beloved child?

    She smiled a funny smile and said, you know, when I go to sleep and all the pain and worry goes away, I think that’s what Heaven’s like.

    May every moment bring healing and peace to all -- mothers, sisters, daughters, mentors, friends. Amen

    I will pray for Saundra and Bonnie tonight. I've been following Bonnie's journey on her CaringBridge page and have been silently rooting for her through her surgery and the aftermath. I look forward to the time when both return to these pages.

    for our sisters; Bonnie and Saundra. I truly believe our savior is with
    both of these wonderful ladies in their fight for good health.

    Deep down just the fact that on Easter day we are all praying is quite prophetic and a positive sign that things will be just fine.
