IT'S A WOW DAY!!!! PORT OUT

Hi Everyone

It's a WOW DAY!!! I got my port out today. It has been a year now that I had both breast
removed and 6 treatments of chemo to treat a rare BC that chemo and radiation has no effect and Triple Negative BC and I'm CANCER FREE. Port was removed about 2:30 this afternoon and I was totally scared to death.
As of right now I'm having a little bit of pain, but just knowing it's out is the greatest feeling!!! It effected my quality of life and was a constant reminder. But today I can honestly say I'm going to start living again.
Thank God for this day and the days to come to stay CANCER FREE.

    I had a port inserted back in mid January and will have it in until January 2011. I don't really mind it but am a little uneasy about having it taken out. I do hope you get your life back and enjoy a great long Cancer Free life!!!

    DEPORTED AND CANCER FREE

    Each one of you are so special. I love that phrase too - DEPORTED!!! It's like we have been
    turned loose from something that has kept us from enjoying life. We can go cruising now!!!
    It's a ashame how this cancer controls our quality of life. My wish is that 1 day each and
    everyone of us can shout I'M CANCER FREE. Each and everyone of you are in my prayers.

    I just got on this site today i had a double masectomy stage2 bc and i am having my port put in monday then i will start my chemo wendsday, reading this just makes me feel so good to know you got through it your port is out!! I am so happy for you !! Go enjoy your life now you have earned it !! Hugs, Jan
