ITS BEEN ONE YEAR SINCE DIAGNOSED AND I JUST WANT TO SHOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't post much but I have to share this, One year ago today Jeff was diagnosed with this ugly disease we call CANCER, little did I know that i would be on this board. As many of you are aware we started Chemo in April, May, and June, a full esophojectomy in July, spent 12 days in ICU, not knowing if he was going to make it, then another 7 days on a regular floor. Man what a journey this has been. Of course without Kitten (which has now went to be with GOD) and William Marshall, I couldn't have made it. I was like a child in diapers, when I signed on here. I made it through all the bumps, turn, hills, mountains, and roads. Would I do it again, YOU BET!!!!!!!!!. Jeff still has his days of not feeling well, or not able to eat certain foods, or just having a blah day. But in general he is doing good. He is now able to go outside and work a little living on 7 acres of land, he loves to be outside. Last summer he couldn't, so he is trying to stay out as much as possible.
To all the ones, fighting this ugly beast keep on fighting you will get through the road.
We have lost so many on this site, that helped me get through this journey. But I know they are not suffering with no more pain.
Thank each and everyone of you, for your prayers, thoughts, and concerns through this past year, and thank you for being my family.
Love and hugs
Lori and Jeff aka MOE and PAPA

Thanks, for all you have taught me about esophogeal Cancer, when i just didn't think I could do no more or walk another road, go over the bumps, climb the mountain, or turn down another lane you and Loretta were always there to help me get through what I never thought I could do. Yes this is a day of Victory, and rejoicing is what we are doing. Alot of things have happened in one year, some for the good and some not so good, but well worth some of it. I did ship out alot of BIG GIRL/BIG BOY UNDERWEAR, and have some on reserve for any newbies that might need it, but I don't think I better quit my day job just yet or I will be moving in with you and Loretta, and you would never feel the empty nest syndrome.
By the way Bill I DO REMEMBER PARTY LINES, I am not that young, in fact my best friend had one while we were teenagers. Yes thats how I feel we always listen in on someones converation here, I might not be able to help but I always read their post and if I can even help one person, i feel like I have helped.
Remember the post DEAL OR NO DEAL, I do, and the one PULL UP YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES, you can do this, and the GOD will be with you through all this when Jeff was dying on his bed, I do, and when I thought I couldn't do it no more you were always there to pull me through it, I just have learned so much not only from you but from this whole site.
I might not post much but I do try to help others that are reaching out asking for help, or just need a friend or a prayer.
I want to say thanks for all you have done for me, with words of advice, wisdom and power of prayer. I plan to move forward and never look back, of the woulda's could's and whys because if I did then GOD wouldn't have got me this far.
Bill and Loretta thanks for being my surgote mother and daddy. Please continue to help everyone on this site and know I appreciate all you all have done.
Thanks

I am so happy for you
Lori,
I am so happy for you and Jeff and your family. Just think you have another anniversary to celebrate --- dinner out and a day to say thanks for the gift of life.
Lots of hugs,
