Beautiful day to everyone! I was thinking it would be wonderful to share stories of hope and miracles! Unfortunately we have all come together on this site, but as I quickly learned, everyone here is so special and knows firsthand how precious life is. We fight everyday to live to soak in one more day of sunrise. Our lives are filled with doctors, tests, pain, saddness, but they don't have to be here. If you have a story that is special, please share...it may just put a smile on one's face and give that little bit of hope and courage we all need. Blessings to everyone, Natalie

    is this what you mean?:
I was told I had a large mass in my chest 2 weeks before my wedding. After a thorocotomy for biopsy, I was dx'd w/HD. Three years after rads I had a daughter! Unfortunately, the HD recurred while I was pregnant. You know the feeling, having a child and being told, they will try to "salvage" you. Every night I would feed and rock her, all the time wondering if I would ever see my baby walk, talk, go to school etc etc. Well that baby is turning 17 next month and her sister, that I had 2 years after chemo, is turning 14! I can't tell you how many health induced lows I've had over the last 20 years. The fear and pain from them seem to fade away replaced by the true miracle of watching our girls mature!

    I won the fight!
I was diagnosed with Large B Cell/T cell enriched NHLymphoma. The drs began aggressive treatment. I was informed they didn't think I was going to make it. My body began to shut down. My liver and spleen were enlarged with spots on both. I had nerve damage and was facing getting chemo in my spine as well as the normal chemo administration.

I had 7 treatments of R-CHOP. The cancer returned. I then had 6 treatments of R-ICE and then Radiation. I was advised to have a transplant. I was not a candidate, so opted to have Rituxin maintenance treatments. The R-ICE worked. The annual Rituxin has worked. My liver and spleen returned to its normal size. All spots disappeared. The nerve damage cleared....there was no need to do chemo in my spine!

The combination of prayer and treatments worked! I have been cancer free for 16 months and am going strong. I just had an appt with my Oncologist today. I was told I look and am doing well. I have proven medical statistics and a major.....and top hospital in the WORLD wrong! I survived and am on no daily medication!

If I can do it, you will too. Keep the faith. You too will win-the-fight!
    Be blessed

I LOVE your screen name! I
I LOVE your screen name! I smiled throughout reading your story!! You are an inspiration! One question, how come you were not a candidate for transplant? Did they believe just the chemo would do this or did they give you grim odds? God bless you everyday!! Thank you so much for sharing!! Natalie

    Cathy,
    You have been

    Cathy,
You have been blessed!! Children (aside from our faith) is the greatest gift we will ever receive!! I love your story and will continue to refer back to it for strength. I seem to be having a hard time accepting all of this while I have three small children who need me. It's wonderful to hear from other mothers. Many blessings to you and to your miracle daughters!!
