What size was your tumor?

    Tumor Size
    I don't remember what the measurements were, but there were 9 lbs of tumor that had infiltrated the bladder, the prostate, and the small bowel as well as the colon. After 7 hours of Surgery, they were able to remove it all and 27 Lymph nodes came up clean. I am undergoing Chemotherapy twice a month for 6 months. The doctor came in after the surgery, and said that he had 2 choices. He could have sewn me up and sent me home with 12 days to live or try to remove the cancer. Kinda stiffens the upper lip a tad.

    I so wanted a weight of my tumor!
    They didn't give me one :( That's impressive! And so glad your doc decided to remove it rather than give up and close you up!

    MIne was...
    3x2x2cm. Stage III.

    They took out 26x9x4 cm of colon. Roughly 11 inches. 3cm from the closest margin and 19cm from the distant margin.

    I don't know the exact size. From the pictures it was a big, friable, gelatinous, blobby, mess of a tumor. Very improper indeed. Folfox completely destroyed it. Internist had to tattoo the site so the surgeon will know what to resect.

    The Size
    I think about angels tumor how i hated it but it was really the way his tumor had already ripped threw the wall and was seeding in the pelvic region that was bad for him.and then in jan he had a blockage they went in and there were about 6 tumors the size of baseballs all wrapped around his small intestines and outside of the colon .

    My tumor was
    2.5 cm (about 1 inch) across x 1 cm deep, not very big but I am still stage lllb. Mine was tattooed also.

    I don't remember the doctors terms but mine was 1 1/2 inches long in the sigmoid colon. They removed 18 inches and resected things together, taking most of my large intestine and appendix. 4 positive lyumph nodes staged it as 3B. 4/16/10 will be 2 years. Praying every day.
