Herceptin Anyone

Hi all, I had lumpectomy on Feb. 16, will be starting radiation shortly. My results came back HER2+, ER+, so med. oncol. is recommending herceptin and tamoxifin, luckily no chemo. Any feedback from anyone taking herceptin?

Hi Lucks
Herceptin is a breeze compared to Chemo. I have Herceptin 1x/wk until Chemo is complete, then go 1x/every 3 weeks. They will probably do a Muga Scan on you to test your heart & it's ejection fraction. Simple test, you lay on the table & they monitor your heart for about a 1/2 hour. They usually do this test or an Echogram (I think that's what it's called?) every 3 months while doing Herceptin. So far, I have not had any side effects at all. Hope that helps.
