Pain in right side ..scar tissue pain???

Hi I am new to this site. I have never been to a chat site for cancer although I was diagnosed with stage III Ovarian cancer 5 and 1/2 years ago. I went through 7 rounds of Cysplatin and Taxol and nearly died. I was in bed for almost the entire year. BUT the best news I am here today alive and well as can be expected. I am wondering about pain in the right side. I have always had this but lately it is worse. Wondering if anyone has experienced this?

    First of all....congratulations on your long-term success. It gives the rest of us hope and inspiration.

    Is the pain low, in the pelvic region (where your ovaries formerly resided), or is it higher up?

    When you say you have "always" had this......do you really mean always, or just since your diagnosis?

    I had some strange "phantom" pain after my ovaries were removed. I had had a bleeding ovary for years and it felt exactly like that, only I didn't have ovaries anymore.

    tough to know
    I have abdominal pain/discomfort frequently. I also have not been off chemo for a great length of time to give my body a chance to fully recover. It is tough to know, is it digestive, is it muscle, is it scar tissue...ugh. What I do know is that it could be very worrisome!!

    Pain lasting more then a week or two should be investigated, in my opinion. How is your ca125 running?

    Pain in right side.
    I have had it since I had my surgery but it would come and go. Sometimes I think it is weather related. I do not go to the Dr. very often. I have learned that fear was driving me to the Dr. so I learned that my body had a way of taking care of itself if I let it. As soon as I gave my body more credit than I gave the Dr. I started feeling better. I started doing accupunture and holistic things for myself. I changed my whole diet. I learned about my body what keeps it strong what makes it sick. I am very fortunate to have lived this long and I thank God for every day I am here. I believe with all my heart that getting back to my hobby was key in my wellness and that is riding horses. I ride everyday I can even if I don't feel great. I do not live by Ca125 numbers I live by living life everyday. Yes, I want to live but I want to live happy not to see what my numbers are. I never thought I would be in this place of calm resilience...I was dying from the chemo. I weighed like 115 lbs and I am 5'8. Fear kills. No doubt in my mind. I love all of you. I don't even know you but I have been where you are and walked in your shoes. I AM walking in some of your shoes. I wish you peace and love and calm. I pray the chemo heals you. I pray that you will have LIFE no matter what happens. Be your own advocate and love yourself and your body. I will be fine no matter what this pain in my side is. I have lived for almost 6 yrs now after my diagnoses.

    gall bladder?
    My mother just had her gall bladder removed laparascopically, and while they were in there they clipped a lot of adhesions in case that was part of her problem. Anyway, one of the "warning signs of gall bladder trouble" you'll see everywhere is pain in the right side. I think the least invasive diagnostics are a physical exam and an ultrasound. Good luck! It that's all it is, the fix is outpatient day surgery.

    I have alot of pain in side and it is from gas

    I think it is adhesions but I am guessing totally. I have researched this today and it said that anyone having abdominal surgery is very likely to have them and they don't show on a CT scan. I hate having to be my own Dr. Thanks for responding. Does anyone have adhesions?
