In Loving Memory of My Dad
I would like to post in loving memory of my dad, Ray, who put up a wonderful fight against esophageal cancer, with mets to his liver for 16 months. He was brave, strong, and determined. He passed away at home on 3/9/10. May he rest in peace, until we meet again. Love you always and forever, Daddy's Little Girl, Tina

I am so sorry about your dad. I'm going through the same thing, I found out Christmas Day my dad has mastatic cancer or something like that. It has already spread from a tumor on his lung to his arotic window, bones, limpnodes, and spine. They have given him 6 months. I hope he doesn't have to suffer to much. They have already called in hospice. The doctor says he can't have visiters for 2 weeks, because he is so weak. It is hard on us kids not to be able to see him, one of my brothers is taking care of him. I know it is hard on him too. I don't know which is hardest, sitting with them watching them waste away or being kept from them. I have been through both. I helped take care of my moter-in-law and was sitting holding her hand when she passed. My father-in-law was living with me when he passed away in my home suddenly. They tried to tell me it was his copd. But he had a anurisum on the main artery from his heart to his stomic. They said if it got up to an 8 he could go in a snap. and that is what happened. No one will ever convence me otherwise. I know that is what took him so quick.0

Condolences
I know no words can help, but I am sorry for your loss. How lame that sounds, but I don't know what else to say. I think many daughters have a special bond with their fathers, and it certainly sounds like you did. Take care, Fay0 -
proud to honor your father
I'm proud to honor you and your father in this thread. Like you, one of the greatest blessings of my life was being my wonderful father's little girl. He died 8 years ago, but here's the thing. That profound blessing of having a fine and devoted father, well it never ends.
Wishing you rest and peace in the days ahead.0 -

I would like to thank you for your condolences. Each day is getting easier. This weekend we will have my dad's memorial service. Then he can rest in peace. Roxi...I feel for you. I have been there recently. Just be there for him, grant him all of his wishes, respect his decisions. I will be thinking of you and your dad. Keep in touch.
