Juicing recipes - 1 for Kerry too
Tips:
You can add flax oil to any of these.
Apple and lemon are good for mellowing out juice, especially spicy cabbage. I'm going to try mellon as well.
I’m going to try adding orange juice to some of these. I’ll probably hand squeeze a few oranges to start with. My juicer doesn't do well with lots of citrus.
Carrot makes a great base. I like to start by making carrot juice. If I don’t like a certain juice, I can mix it with the carrot until the juice is better.
It’s always best to drink your juice immediately before oxidation begins. This is especially true of the cabbage family.
Chew your juice. Why? I have no freakin’n idea, but if Emily (2BHealed) tells you to chew your juice, chew the damn juice.
Beware - Beets will stain your poop red causing bad flash backs and shock.
Play and have fun.

Yes, I left out the Bud. Kimgeotina said:Yummy
Kerry's recipe sounds yummy but you forgot to say mix well and take with a Budweiser. Tina
Yes, I left out the Bud. Kim said the others were much more tolerable with a little vodka, or a lot of vodka depending on whether or not we're waiting for scan results!!0 -
BTW
Did you know that carrots have an inner core that tastes very different from the outer one? You can separate them too. If you juice just the outside it has a much sweeter taste. The inside is considerably more bitter. I found that interesting and the inner core looks cool after you strip away the outside, like a tree with all its branches chopped off.
Also, not that it changes what you can do with them, but bananas split easily into three sections lengthwise, like orange wedges. Six if you work hard at it. And it is easier to open a banana peel from the bottom end than the stem end.
And brussel sprouts are horrid - only thing I have ever tried (a bunch of times) and I still hate them. Just sayin.0 -
Beets
Oh No! I am growing beets in the garden this year, was hoping to eat them. I have heard they are good for your liver, but I don't want anymore red stuff exiting!
Thanks for the recipes will copy them and use them except for the brussel sprouts, when I was a kid we used to call brussel sprouts- heads and cauliflower were the brains.

I steam them til tender and let them cool. Mix with cherry tomatoes in a pretty bowl and top with oil and vinegar. Makes a very nice side salad.0 -

I also love the sprouts, and steaming is the way to go. havent tried them cooled and with tomatoes. I shall try that when my garden comes in, of course the only thing in the ground right now are some peas in my cold box but....summer is coming isnt it!0
