    Hi
It is nice to see your post. There isn't much activity on this site, but I check it from time to time seeing if there is any new responses or posts to this site. Welcome to this site. I am the caregiver of a partner who has ovarian cancer. I gather you have lung cancer. How are you doing? I look forward to your posting on this site. I hope others will find it and make it a more active site. Anyway welcome to the board.

    Hi Connie
    Hi,

My partner is hanging in there. She is between chemo treatments right now. Her next treatment is in another week. Have you had any treatments? If so what were they? I hope you are doing well. My dad had lung cancer many years ago. He already had it spread in both his lungs before they found it in him. In those days they didn't have as much in the way of treatment like they have now. All replies are in the same subject post unless you create a new subject. I hope that made sense. Anyway look forward to your reply, and I hope your ct scan shows you cancer free in May.

    best wishes,
    Diane

    Hi
Hi connie there are a few of us out here that post and read from time to time... but mostly I think they stay on the sites that are connected to their CA... I lost my partner of 12 years August 4th and found the people here to be very caring and understanding. Good luck to you.... I read more than I post now but I am here

    hi Connie
Yes there are still some of us who come back to this board. I have been a member of this site for more than 14 years now after a battle with Stage 3 Breast cancer with 11 out of 21 positive nodes.
I am glad to see that members are finding there way here because the one thing I found through my fight was I felt so much more comfortable talking about my issues with peole like me. Not that I don't think this is a Women's Issue it is sometimes straight women don't want to hear about my relationship and what I am going through though it is very much the same as they are. It just felt better even with my support group to be with other lesbians who truly understood how I could feel. I was apart of the first Gay support group of its kind across Canada.
Well I am now waiting for an altrasound on a lump that has grown very quickly in the middle of my biscept, a little unnerving at this point in life. I have come along way since the sickly recovering cancer victum I was for more than 7 years after chemo radiation and surgery. I never bothered with reconstruction since I had so many side effects even the ones that come with surgery. Now 7 years of health and the ability to
mud and tape drywall as a trade as well as paint houses it is disappointing to find such a thing in my arm. I can't help but wonder if there are others out there like me who have had a lump grow in their arm like this. One of my lumps I had with my breast cancer grew to the size of a golf ball in just 5 days. I have to say one doesn't get any comfort from a doctor who says it is fattie cyst without touching it or looking at it But she did send me for the scan...
Here's hoping we get good news in the next week or so but truly I have been blessed with all the years of survival and the control is out of my hands.

Life is Good and living it to the fullest is all we can do.
