St. Patty's Day Question :)
(One of my friends told me to ask if 1 glass of red was ok, could I substitute 2 glasses of white! LOL)
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all, and may the luck of the Irish be with us long into our Irish Jigs with NED!

It's up to you
If you feel like you want a drink while you are on chemo, go for it. I had a drink now and then while I was going through mine and no problems. Some days it wasn't even a consideration but sometimes it seemed like the thing to do. You decide! good luck and keep fighting.0 -
Ha ha good for you. I'm afraid I drink wine whenever I can!!!! It tastes horrid until day 6 after chemo & then I drink whenever I want.arbor3 said:Wine
When I went to my pre-chemo class, the nurse said it was alright to have a glass of wine 3 days after chemo treatment.

My doctor says "no problem"
I have asked this question more than once in the last
3 1/2 years, and always my Dr. says "if you want alcohol, go for it".
But that's great advice about not taking it with narcotics or Tylenol.
That can kill your liver (literally).
I haven't wanted wine but a couple of times during chemo, but now that I'm
-hopefully- done, I'm looking forward to drinking again... soon. VERY soon!!
Enjoy your glass(es) of wine~
(but ask your doctor to be sure).

I had a frozen margaritaminky1225 said:GO FOR IT!
As Mom would put it.."what's it gonna do?Give me cancer?"
If this experience has taught me anything, enjoy yourself and life as much as possible!
I had a frozen margarita with Mexican food (I don't live in Texas for nothing) now and again. My doctor said it was fine.
Red wine is good for building red blood cells. My grandmother's doctor recommended she drink a glass a day and she was 92.
