TIRED OF SAD NEWS WANTED TO SHOUT GOOD NEWS
We have had so much bad news on this site for the past 2 months I wanted to share some good news, and hopefully I won't step on any toes, or hurt any feelings. As you all know when I came on this site I was so scared I didn't know what I was going to do, if you don't think I was read back on my posts and you will see, I didn't come this far without alot of you helping me through the most difficult time in my life. I never thought I would be able to come this far. On April 1, 2009 Jeff was diagnosed with this nasty disease we call CANCER, at stage 2, he had a full esophojectomy on July 23, 2009 and stayed in ICU 12 days, not knowing if he was going to make it, not because of the surgery but because he was a heavy smoker and his lungs were SICK as the doctor told me. Jeff is doing really good, he has had several stretches, for the esophogus, had a couple of scares to the ER, he learned how to eat all over again, he has had a pet scan every 3 months since April of last year, and has went to every doctor appt he was scheduled to go to. Don't get me wrong he has had his ups and downs, and still does, but most of the time he has more ups than down, even though he doesn't read this site I always let him know. All of you were a big help in his recovery, but the one I know helped him through his surgery was our beloved "KITTEN" she is the one that got him through it, and Bill Marshall was the one that got me through alot of difficult problems I had, but each and every one of you got me through things that you walked, things you knew and most of all your friendship. Jeff has went through alot of problems in the last 6 months which I will not post on here, along with myself, but I will never go away from this site, you all are my friends, and i have to check on everyone daily, sometimes I just read the posts and sometimes I reply, especially if I can help one lost long person, that is or about ready to walk the shoes I have already walked.
I have met so many wonderful people on this site we all have WORE OUR BIG GIRL/BIG BOY UNDERWEAR, WE WALKED MOE'S SHOES, WE HAVE CRIED, WE HAVE LAUGHED WE HAVE VENTED AND WE HAVE BECOME VERY CLOSE FRIENDS EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NEVER MET.
I have decided if we can help just ONE person on this site, we have helped a miracle.
I must go now, but as you all know april 1, is coming up, so please continue the prayers, and pray that this nasty disease doesn't come bac,
Take care and GOD Bless each and every one of you. Lets all fight Esophogeal Cancer, it kills so many.
Love and hugs
Lori
I wouldn't trade what I walked for no amount of money, I have learned so much with someone having cancer, and if you can understand Cancer you can do anything.

Lori-thanks for posting-I
Lori-thanks for posting-I have been out of town with kids-not able to get on csn much...There has been so much sadness on here and then so much worry for those newly diagnosed....so I think is great that you post about yours & Jeff's journey. Sometimes when things go well they don't post and move on. But I think new people need to know that it is not all doom & gloom.
thanks for taking the time to post...and keep it up!!!!

Lori,
Never hesitate to bring sunshine to your friends here at CSN --- we all celebrate the joyous times as much as we grieve during difficult days. The good news keeps us all keep going just knowing that someone out there has had a success and we can hope that our loved ones will be next.
Thanks you for sharing.
God Bless you for being on this site --- you are such a help.

Marta,
There is hope but the journey is hard and long, just hang in there and know I am here if you have any questions I would be glad to help. Its been a hard road but a successful road, but we always know that this ugly BEAST can come back anytime. Please know I will share when ever I can.
Take Care
Lori aka MOE0
