Good News...don't give up!
I had a liver MRI and a PET scan this past week. I got my results back Monday. The PET showed NO signs of cancer! The MRI did show a .25 inch spot on my liver. It was originally a little over an inch in size pre-chemo. It did not light up on the PET because it is INACTIVE!
My oncologist is recommending surgery to remove the small spot on my liver in hopes of a cure. My surgeon agrees. I am scheduled for a liver resection on March 25th.
When I was dx with Stage IV back in July of 2009, I thought I had been given a death sentence. I have learned a tremendous amount about myself during this trial. It has brought me closer to God, my husband and has made me recognize and cherish each and every day given to me. I know I may not be completely out of the woods yet but I see sunshine!
Keep fighting the good fight and know that God is walking with you.

I was diagnosed with stage
I was diagnosed with stage IV in January. I had 1/2 of my liver removed 4 weeks ago, and am feeling mostly fantastic!!! Certainly blessed to be here. Understand your thoughts all too well.
Will keep you in my prayers. Look forward to hearing how the resection goes. I was looking on the boards for someone who had been through a liver resection, just to kind of bounce thoughts off of. If you want, you can always email me at suerelays@yahoo.com....if I can help you with anything!!!!0 -

Congrats hun on you becoming a candidate for surgery, I wish you only the best, and glad to hear that the tumors are being cut out! they say I will never be a candidate for surgery, but I don't want to believe them, I want to keep the hope that even if it takes years, these suckers all over my liver will eventually get small enough to cut! You give me hope!
