Hey to all my semi colon family, just to let you know I'm still lurking around, I visit the board everyday it's become part of my daily routine, my life, you all have. I just haven't been posting much because I might not be fighting cancer for now touch wood (my forehead) but I'm fighting severe depression. The cancer wasn't the worst thing to have happened to me, but my husband I separating (although we still talk) that's been the killer. I wish I was as strong as Krista when her relationship of four years broke down. But I've come from a very difficult childhood (haven't we all in some way) of violence, etc. Then not trusting men, getting into wrong relationships then you think you finally meet the right one. Ahhh see I'm rambling to my family already lol, I know some of you get worried hugs to you. So just drop me an e-mail at alpha_diem@yahoo.co.uk, and you can find me under face book on that as well. No disrespect to CSN but the email on here annoys me. Anyway have my first post cancer check up on the 15/3/10 I think they will take bloods etc, but hopefully will be ok.
Hugs to you all
Sonia

    Hi Sonia
Thanks for checking in. I was wondering how you were doing over there. We miss seeing you here.

I hope you are getting good medical support for your depression. One of my daughters had great results with "cognitive therapy". It helped her to cope and allowed her to deal with her depression without relying on too many drugs. My wife Pam works in a BC Mental Health office so gets all kinds of helpful hints.

I'm sorry things have been so rough for you. I hope they improve as you move further into your post-cancer life.

Peace and blessings... Rob; in Vancouver

Depression hurts, and it is a real disease. It also hurts the many people around you who feel helpless and want to help lift you up.
You have been through alot and should commend yourself for being a strong survivor. You can beat this and can beat anything!
Thank you for checking-in. Good luck on your first post cancer check-up. Marie
