Surgeon Visit
until surgery.
I am now looking at each case of diarhea as a God send, and have already said many prayers of thanks for the direct intervention.
I am on a strict low residue diet, but have to add ensure each day to make sure I get my nutrients. I guess each time the diarhea hit I was lucky as it lets my intestines empty, that is why the string poops at other times as the opening is closing. Right now I am in the midst of a blockage as my tummy bloats and hurts and I am not pooping but a skinny minature tootsie roll a day. I know probabbly too much information. :-)
She also said that they may have to put stents in my ureters so she well speak with the kidney docs.
No date set yet because she is going to try to coordinate with gyn/onc, but hopefully soon. She said he may be able to get in and remove my rectum and tumors, but because of the location it would not be easy, I would be in hospital about a week if all goes well.
Also I want you to know Wednesday morning I had a peace about the surgery, and then in the afternoon spoke with my gyn/onc which only reinforced the peace, and then to learn what has been going on for awhile made me say many many Thank You Prayers for God continuing to carry me through. Now the waiting game for the appts to be set, to meet with nutritionist and stoma nurse. My next prayer is my Dr is here long enough to get the surgery on his schedule, as a research doc he is gone alot.
That's it ~ Prayers ♥ Hugs Bonnie

surgery
I'm trying to absorb this information. Are you saying he may or may not be able to successfully complete the surgery? A permanent ostomy beats the other alternative. I hope to find the strength and peace that you have. Good luck with your upcoming visits.

(((Bonnie))). The long journey develops an amazing inner strength that I see so evidenced in you, Bonnie. How wise you are, wise beyond your years! Reaching for, and securing peace is the essence of grace. I know that you are wrapped in grace and peace as you mount this next battle. Please let us know the 'game plan' as it unfolds. Dear Bonnie,
You are definitely forever my inspiration!!!! I'm happy that you are going to have the surgery and that you are feeling a peace and calm about it. What an example you are for all of us! Love, prayer and hugs, MM0 -
Praying for you
I am praying that all the time schedules of all the involved surgeons will fall into a perfect place for you. I sure know that your peace is calming though none of us wants to go through with this. The alternative is not my choice either so fight on, sweet friend. I am right behind you and holding you up in many prayers daily. (((HUGS))) Saundra0 -
Prayers for you
Dear Bonnie,
I'd like to send you what Saundra has-that everything falls into place and happens as soon as is practical! Your situation doesn't sound very good right now, and I'm sure you'll feel better after the surgery. Godspeed!

Hi Bonnie,
I hate to hear of
Hi Bonnie,
I hate to hear of all this. Why does this have to happen to such beautiful people, some-times when I think I've beaten this thing (spiritually), then something of this nature comes back as if cancer will always be a nightmare!
I have received so much peace from your words/insight of wisdom in dealing with this cancer.
I will pray, pray, pray day and night for you. I have tears in my eyes and your strength just blows me away. You are such a strong woman. I don't know how you do it.
Much Love,

God is Good all the time.. thank you for kind words and encouragement. God is my strength and it is through Him that I get my strength. He uses each of you to add encouragement, love and so much kindness to my life. The word Thanks is not enough to tell you what your friendships have menat to me. Yes God is Good all the time ~ All the time God is Good!

Psalm 29:11 The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.
And once again He sent his peace to wash over me, that is the best way I can descripe the peace that it "washes over me". I pray you each can feel that peace :-)
Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Through Him I continue to sail, a prayer that each of you well grow weak from weary(not that we dont' have our moments) but as we look back in amazement on how we get to where we are we know it is not from our Strength that we have made it thus far. :-D
Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Amen ... God Loves You & So Do I0 -

When that Peace is sent by the Lord, you know, that you know, that you know. It's beyond a shadow of a doubt, and hard to describe. It's beyond words. And I'm so grateful to hear you have that peace that passes all understanding. You go through this journey with such trust, faith and grace. Your family must be amazed at you every moment - I know I sure am.
Sending oodles of prayers and hugs today, and always, Bonnie.

Hi Lisa, I well be at U of Mn Fairview, campus hospital. It would be great to meet you so if you are in the area, a few days after surgery though, please stop by if you get the chance.
How is your mom doing? How are you doing? Don't remember reading an update for awhile.
