Skiffin16 - Update
Just a quick update….
I had my routine CT and blood work this week. Yesterday I went for the follow-up consultation with my Chemo MD.
All of scan images were good, nothing new to be concerned about. All blood work is good, actually finally after almost 15 months my blood is all back in normal ranges. Kidney and liver filtrations and functions are back to normal also.
I’m moving from a three month schedule of check-ups with her to a six month cycle. My next being in August for a PET scan. If all still remains good, she’ll order for the port to be removed the following February (2011)….
Thanks again for all of the support and prayers,
John

John,
Glad to hear of your progress and success. Normal blood ranges - how good does that feel? And graduation to the 6-month cycle. Excellent. Looking forward to continued good news in August. Thx for your help.
It's always great to hear good news. I'm sure you are relieved and hearing that you only go for scans every 6 months is so encouraging.
Keep up the good work!!
Stay strong and keep smiling,

Alright !!
Sounds great. I go to see mine the week of 15th thru 19th. My peg tube will be taken out on the 19th. Hope to get on that 6 month schedule. I was wondering how long before the port came out. Looks like we will be taking this blood thinner for another 11 months.......but hey.....who's complaining ??0 -

Thanks everyone....
Mary, I'm glad that you are starting to relax a little, I know it's very hard to do under the circumstances. Try to enjoy as much as you can of this small stretch of normalacy.
