update on husband (Kapper48)
As you may have noticed, he hasn't been on here in quite a while. He's been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of January with one problem after another. He's actually in the hospital again now and has been since Friday. Losing alot of weight, vomitting for the past two weeks, and in a lot of pain. They're working on getting everything under control but it's been a slow process.
I don't want to sound ignorant, but I probably won't be posting on here for a while. To be quite honest, I just don't have the time to sit down and type everything that is and has been going on with him the past couple of months. Between trying to take care of my house, my animals, my kids and Pat I just don't have the energy to do it. I have to keep up with his caring bridge site otherwise my phone rings non-stop with people wanting to see how he is doing and to sit and type all that and then come here and type the same thing is just too much for my brain right now as my brain is just fried.
If any of you are interested in keeping up with him or sending him a little note here and there, you can go to his caring bridge site. I try to update it daily or at least every other day. You can go to www.caringbridge.org and then type in patrickkapper where it says "enter site name".
I want to say thank you to all of you that have been there for him over the past couple of years. He really cares alot about all of you. He makes me get on here every single day to read your posts to him so we'll still be lurking in the background to keep up on everything that's going on with all of you. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and know that although he hasn't posted in a while, he is thinking about you all every day.
Well wishes to all - Pat and Carrie

hello
Hi Carrie,
Crud! I was wondering how Pat was doing & am so sorry to hear that he (and you) has been having such a rough time- I'm really sorry to hear it. Please know that I think about you and Pat and I will be praying. I completely understand how it's tiring and overwhelming to write out what's going on, then feel you have to do it all over again on another site. You've got so much going on- you just need to give yourself the time and attention to yourself and you need rest too, or you'll end up getting sick or something.
I will plan on checking his caringbridge site, as you suggested.
Take care & God bless you both-

Do what you need to do; never been to Caring Bridge site, maybe I'll try it. Wishing Pat less pain and more success in his fight and hoping you don't burn out trying to manage everything.....Steve0 -
Pat, Carrie & Family
I think of you and your family daily and check your caring bridge site when I sit down at the computer in the evening after work. Tell Pat I have it my favorites. Everyday I keep hoping that if they can get that darn pain under control then Pat would finally start to turn the corner on the rest of it. It is so hard to fight when you are in in a lot of constant pain. From our family to yours, we wish you the best. Carrie, I am very even tempered and it takes a lot for me to get angry but, if it was my George, and he was in the pain Pat is in, I think I would grab that doctor and tell him unless you want to sing like a soprano, do something and do it now. Take care - Tina and George0 -

Carrie
I am sorry you are carrying such a heavy load. You are a great support and wife to Pat, and I love that you read him these posts daily. That just breaks my heart, this journey everyone is on here is so heartbreaking. I pray Pat gains his strength again, begins eating, stops vomiting, and is out of the hospital soon. YOU also need to take care of yourself. Perhaps someone from your community or family can step in for a day or a few hours and you can get some much needed rest. I want to thank you for keeping us posted and responding to my PM. You are in my prayers.0 -
