I had my consult with the colon/rectal surgeon yesterday and after the exam and viewing the latest CT scans, he think probably surgery will have to be done. However, I was scheduled for a Hypaque enema x-ray and colonoscopy for April 9th and given more prescriptions for "diverticulitis" attacks just in case since I am feeling so bad. I have an appointment with my gyn/onc next week and will see what he says about starting chemo again. My side hurts but I cant tell if it is the colon or the infected lymph nodes.
Bummer to have all the waiting. Saundra

    so sorry you're hurting
So sorry to hear that your side is hurting so. Have you found something to soothe it? Don't be too brave with pain medication -- go ahead and take it, and get out your heating pad, too. Waiting is hard enough without being so uncomfortable!

    Waiting is the worst~
    Saundra,

I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this waiting. As they say "it's the hardest part". You know you have all of us waiting with you, too, as well as your loved ones.

I hope that your doctors are in sync, and that they can help you feel better. And yes, as was suggested, use those pain meds. That's what they're there for. My Dr. recently gave me Vicodin Elixir, and I prefer it to the pills. (for Avastin headaches).

Hang in there, and know you're in our prayers xoxo

    Love & (((Hugs)))

    Bummer!
that you are in pain AND have to wait again. I hope the colonoscopy will tell them what they need to know and they can get to the bottom of this. Keep us posted.

    hugs and prayers,

    Hugs ♥ Prayers
Dear Saundra, I had them xrays ... oh such a fun prep and a warning for afterwards(or at least this happened for me) Wear depends ~ as the prep does not totally empty and depending how far of drive .. you may not make it home or to a bathroom..but then I have no warnings I have to go so that could have been part of my problem. I spoke with my gyn/onc yesterday and see the colorectal surgeon tomorrow for follow up visit and to schedule surgery. Colon problems are sure a pain in the rear ~ :D LOL ~ along with many other places. I know diverticulitis is one of the big causes for people to have ostomy surgery, and then to deal with cancer along with it has to be hard. What a waiting game huh, pray the meds help and the pain goes away. Lots of prayers, hugs n love Bonnie

Hugs to 2 of my favorite ladies. I hate to think of you in pain or with 'issues' that cramp your style. The one good thing about enduring MUCH, is that you know in your heart that you can get through this; that your internal fortitude has been tested before and proven to be very powerful. And so you will also endure this and come out to a better place on the other side, as always. Strong women; tired of it for sure; but battling on none-the-less.

But no need to be TOO heroic: take the meds!! (((HUGS)))

    Tylenol
So far,Tylenol works. I just can't tell if it is the cancerous lymph node or the sigmoid colon. I have stronger meds if needed. I will see my gyn/onc next Wed. and he will tell from the physical which it is. Or he has in the past. Magic fingers!!LOL Saundra
