Google and ye shall find.
I searched on "poems, meditations or prayers for cancer" and I saw this for starters.
Thanks, Phil. That's a good site. I shall google! I think I was being a little lazy and hoping somebody had already found a place, and I could benefit from their research. *grins*

Cancer Is So Limited
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot destroy peace.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot suppress memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul.
It cannot steal eternal life.
It cannot conquer the spirit.
New Day
From out of nowhere you get the news,
And before it even has time to sink in,
Your battle against cancer is underway,
And it is time for your fight to begin.
The cancer caught you completely off-guard.
Now this challenge will be your toughest test,
But in no way are you throwing in the towel,
Instead you are prepared to do your best.
From the beginning you bravely march on.
Now you are standing in the middle of it all,
But you stand without the presence of fear,
As you are very determined not to fall.
With the Lord’s help through this battle,
You know you will be able to find your way.
Because by allowing Him to guide you along,
You will find yourself a brand new day.
This is not an easy road that you travel.
This road becomes very difficult and long.
The cancer will not be able to take you down,
Because your spirit is much too strong.
You are an inspiration to every one of us,
Because through your incredibly tough fight,
You help us all to take steps together,
As we get closer to having a cure in sight.
Thank you for all the things you have endured.
Thank you for all that you have done.
Because of all of the heroes like you,
Someday this battle against cancer will be won.
KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE
Many years had passed me by
Then the diagnosis came
This one thing would change my life
And I’d never be the same
Deep down in my heart of hearts
I struggled to survive
And I fought the battle fierce
To keep the dream alive
I never thought of losing
Determined that I’d win
Because love surrounded me
I never gave up or gave in
The fight was never easy
With God’s help I would strive
To live life to its fullest
And keep the dream alive
Now I stand among the fortunate
Knowing not why God chose me
I walk for those still fighting
And in the memory
I believe we will find a cure
One day we will arrive
But until then, hand in hand
We’ll keep the dream alive

The Big "C"
by Kathy Cawthon, Survivor
"The big 'C'" I heard someone call it.
Another just whispered the word.
That we don't even dare to say "cancer" out loud
Gives it power it doesn't deserve.
So I'm giving that letter new meaning
And refusing to give in to fear
By reclaiming the power for you and for me
And by saying these words loud and clear:
Let the "C" be for "Cure" and "Compassion".
Let it stand for the "Candles" we light,
And a "Chorus" of voices shouting, "You 'Can'!"
To all who will take up this fight.
Let the "C" be for "Cash Contribution".
("Credit" or "Check" will work too).
Let it stand for "Commitment" and "Checkups" and "Cheer",
And the "Children" "Counting" on you.
Let it mean that we know our "Creator"
Is beside us each step of the way,
And remind us to "Call" on His strength and His love
And to "Celebrate" every new day.
To everyone facing this "Challenge",
I say it's a fight we can win.
Tell all who will listen that, starting today,
The "C" is for "Courage", my friend.

Cancer is such a scary word,
no matter how it's spoken.
Peace of mind taken for granted,
can be crushed and forever broken.
But together we could fight this!
It's an enemy from within us,
striking oh so randomly,
tomorrow it could be you,
for yesterday it was me.
So together we should fight this!
While science is advancing,
my hero's still are dying,
some treatments just aren't working,
but still we keep on trying.
And together we will fight this!
Research is the magic word,
it's what we want to see,
nothing less than a cancer cure,
would mean so much to me.
For together we have fought this!
It'll take support from everyone,
to really see this through,
so peace of mind for all of us,
can start off fresh and new.
And together we will win!
Walk With Us
Author: Joy ****
Come walk with us on the road to a cure.
With laughter and tears, it’s a good time for sure
You’ll be glad you came as you walk through the night
Knowing with your help we are winning this fight.
The first lap’s for victory, survivors stand proud.
They march round the track to the cheers of the crowd.
The next one’s for families, who help them get through,
and stood there beside them with love, strong and true.
We are here to fight cancer, we’ll keep coming back.
Until there is a cure, we will return to the track.
We’ll walk in the moonlight, we’ll walk in the sun,
For 24 hours each year till we’ve won.
So come and walk with us, how glad we’ll all be,
When someday we walk in a world cancer free.0 -
