I am so sorry to hear about Al. I hope you are comforted by your family around you. And, of course your CSN family is praying for strength for you!
Thanks so much for coming on here and letting us know you are doing ok. I was so worried about you! Please remember I'm only a phone call away. I've been in your shoes just less then 2 1/2 months ago.....
Please keep in touch when you can. We all want to know that you're doing OK....we all care!
Sending you lots of love and hugs,
Trish
P.S. Remember, too: "THEY WHOM WE LOVE AND LOSE ARE NO LONGER WHERE THEY WERE BEFORE. THEY ARE NOW...WHEREVER WE ARE."
P.S.S. Don't forget to get Al's thumbprint for your thumbie, like we talked about. And ask for a locket of his hair to keep.0 -

Hi kathy,
Glad to hear you are doing ok. I was thinking......God had a plan this past weekend. He made it possible for all of your family to be there so he could bring Al home with him. I truly believe that. Please keep in touch. And Trish....hi!! thank for the reminder of the thumbprint and the locket of hair. How special that will be to have such a wonderful keepsake when my dad's time does come to go home to our Lord!

Thanks so much for
Kath,
Thanks so much for posting, letting us know you are okay. Ive been wondering about you. You are one amazing caregiver, I know that AL was so proud of you for taking GREAT care of him every step of the way. He is in a better place right now, pain free and watching over you and the family. If you EVER need anything please call. You were one of the very first people to welcome me to this site and help me with my father even when you are dealing with your own troubles. I thank you for that, hang in there sweetie and be strong
God Bless,

Kath and I were talking on the phone just the other night and I told her about the "thumbies" that the funeral home had made for me and my two daughters. They took a thumbprint of Roy's and sent it away to a jewelry company that specializes in this kind of jewelry. They put his thumbprint on a special silver charm with his name and birthdate and deathdate on the back of it, strung on a beautiful silver necklace. It is so awesome to see all three of us wearing his thumbprint around our necks. The grandkids come up to me and say "I want to hold pappy's thumb" and they put their thumb on his. It's so comforting. (I can get you the information about this if you want.)
Also, I asked for a locket of his hair so they clipped a lot of his hair on the back of his head and put it in an envelope for us. It's something nice to have. After all, we probably all have some hair from our kid's first haircut, don't we?
Tina, I send my love to you and your dad. Let's all say some special prayers for Kathy and her family tonight.....God bless them all.

Prayers we can deliver on
And a shoulder, we can deliver on that, too. I wish I had words...just to make it better. Why is it that when you want to do the most amazing things with words, there aren't any to use?

Faith in knowing God has taken Al
Kath,
Thanks for postings. I can only imagine what you are going through at this time. I only hope my family will be strong and have faith that our God has his hands in our lives and has taken one of his home. Your words here on CSN have given me strenght to keep on and have faith that Gods will will be done. Remember, you are the reason that I am in treatment now, and I will always have a special place on my heart for you and Al's memory.
Sincerely,
Luis Rodriguez0
