More Chemo
Hi Jean b,
I am sorry you are having to have chemo again. It's great that it has been 10 1/2 years since you were diagnosed. I was curious as to what stage you were 10 1/2 years ago and the treatment you took. Thank-You, Paula0 -

The news of
So Sorry Jean,
The news of your recurrence is sad, but 10 years is not bad; I hope that I can claim 10 years with my cancer.
Was your quality of life good during your 10 1/2 years with this cancer? I too would like to know; what stage were you when you were first diagnosed?
Hopefully, you can fight this again and claim another 10 years!

Hang in there
Hi Jean, sorry to hear the treatments have to continue, but great news that they are working and to celebrate 10 1/2 years is wonderful. I have been getting desentized carbo here too and have to go in the hospital for 24 hours to get it.. no fun. Do you take L-glutamine for your neuropathy? I find it helps, doesn't cure it but helps it not be as bad as it could be. Prayers ♥ Hugs Bonnie0 -

Hi Paula: Thanks for your note. I was 2C had a complete hysterectomy7 followed by 6 treatments of Taxol and Carboplatin. As I said, I was cancer free for 7 1/2 years and then it reared it's ugly head again the last 3 years in a row. I am thankful for the 10 1/2 years.

Hello Sharon: Thanks for your note. My quality of life has been very good. The only time I was extremely sick was during the 6 treatments if Gemzar and Cysplatin. It tore my stomach apart and I was "nauseated" for 6 months. That was the worst, but I am now on Gemzar and Carboplatin which is a breeze compared to the others. Tell me a little more about your cancer.
Thanks.

Good News
Hi Jean!
I too am off cisplatin and on the carboplatin. It sure does do a number on you. Glad that your treatment is working for you.
I was to have chemo today, but surprise, platelets still too low after 7 shots of Neumega. So I will probably be one week late.
Sounds like you are doing much better. Keep us posted or email me when you get a chance.
Love,

Good Morning,
that's what I was afraid you were going to say. I was a Stage 2B. Same treatment as you. I'm only about 10 monthes out. Just trying to gather some information. I guess I better really, really live each day to the fullest. Thank-You, Paula0
