Hi
Hi,
I've been checking every hour or so waiting to see how you're doing.
I hope everything goes well so you can go home Mon. or Tues.. I spent a week in the hospital, and had to go back for another week.
I'll be praying for you. Us Teal Warriors are a strong bunch!!
Hugs, Kathryn0 -
Great that you are in touch!
Great that you are in touch! That's a good sign already. Sorry about the extra surprises but that's why they go in and do the big search, finding all those little rascals in hiding is so important. 10 liters of fluid out must make you feel better despite the rest of it!
Hope you are getting up and about as much of a challenge though it is. I set myself a schedule and as soon as clock ticked on the time I began the process of mobilizing, as complicated as it was with all the tubes!
Big HUG and best wishes for smooth sailing through the weekend!

Leesa....
I'm delighted you are feeling up to even a short post. Please give us more info when you feel a bit better.
Do the "spots" on your bowel and bladder mean Stage 3?
Going home with a catheter is not fun, but it beats having to stay in the hospital.
Sending you fondest thoughts and feel good vibes.

Well done Leesa
Wow 10 litres is amazing I bet you feel so better now! The spots on your bowel & liver could mean anything. I had my CT results yesterday & it showed a mark on my liver but it wasn't cancer & I got the doctor to show me the report so I was convinced. I also had a small cyst on my ovary that isn't cancer either. It amazes me how they tell the difference but they can.
i am so pleased you are feeling well enough to be on-line. This web site really does give us loads of hope & support doesn't it.
All the best & I will look forward to reading about your progress

You go Girl!!! I bet you feel light as a feather eh? I remember when they took all that out of me, I was light on my toes. I found though days later when I got home I had to send my ex husband out to get me depends because of the excess fluid was leaking out of the obvious place, so be prepared. So if it does happen, you won't be thinking "what the bleep is going on here!" It's over Leesa so you just concentrate on getting yourself home and taking care of yourself.
I too am writing from the hospital and I too may be going home on Monday, Tuesday for sure, so here's to us!!!! Lot's of love and hugs to you!
Linda

Third day out of surgery
And I'm feeling so much better! I can't believe how much of a difference every day makes! I "passed gas" today and just had my first "meal" of chicken broth, green jello, Luigi's Italian Ice and apple juice.
I truly understand why we call ourselves "Teal Warriors" after my experience with this surgery! I only hope that this is the hardest part of this (if it isn't, don't let me know that just yet). I look back over my post from yesterday, and realize that I truly didn't think I'd feel up to posting again before Tuesday! In fact, come to think of it, posting on Tuesday may be a problem since my computer weighs more than five pounds!
Again, thank you all so much for your prayers, wishes and happy, shiny, thoughts! Thank you also Paula, for the call! You have no idea how much of a difference that made in my spirits and my day yesterday!
Love to all!

Great to see that you can post in the hospital.( I only wish I had had my laptop then, it would have really helped me to feel encouraged!) Sounds like you are progressing right along, if you are passing gas on the 3rd day. Are you walking? I know that really is hard to do, but gives you so much courage to push ahead and gets the bowels going etc etc.
Take it one day at a time, and you will be home before you know it!!
Hang in there,
Hugs and prayers,
Kathleen:)0
