This brought tears to my eyes; I'm so sorry that you are having to feel completely out of control. And what an awesome doctor. And remember it is ok to cry. Give your self a hug and I know we are suppose to stay away from sweets but that might be a good Chocolate Time.
And try take 1 day at a time.
Take Care and Hang in there. Trudy0 -
I cried too
reading this - as I sit here at work!
I'm so sorry that you've had to go through this, but glad you're getting the emotional support that you need from your doctor. I also hope that your next transfusion is successful.
It is far from easy to go through this. Just keep hanging on and the finish line WILL be there!!
Take care,

I am glad that transfusion has been working. You are moving forward and support from your doc is very important. Every breast cancer survivor needs to cry and when we don't do it people forget about the horrible experiences we have been going through. Being "strong" and "tough" all the times is hard. Do not hold your emotions, let them go! Please keep posting.

I have not had the same issues but others and it is very frustrating when despite you r best efforts things dont go as we want. and all of the issues pile up too. If it was one issue but when you combine them it can become too much and we need to explode or we will implode. I am glad your doc and NP were helpful -as it should be. this is tough stuff to go through. but you will, get through this. one day at a time. one minute AND ONE SECOND SOMETIMES. hugs to you I am glad you feel better!!!! Most of the time when i freak out about my aches and pains, I say if its not better by next week I will start to think about it. I also try and not always sucessfully to live in the present and not live in what I fear, because that is not happening right now. because sometimes i can have major anxiety attacks. then theres always ativan. LOL Wish I liked to drink0 -
What your Doctors said
Wow, Kathy, you have the wonderful, caring, understanding physicians you deserve, and all of us should have. It is clear that you are respected and cared for by these understanding individuals. Glad you feel better and more energetic now. Your doctors clearly care about you, especially your PCP, who also knows you, as you wrote. That is a blessing. (My PCP is the same way. In that, we are lucky.)
You have a strong and determined team fighting with you, and for you, Kathy. And many here who are cheering you on and sending the most positive thoughts your way.
Happy Valentine's Day to you, too.0 -
Happy tears
Thanks for that great post! I'm a nurse and have been for many years. My heart often aches when I read posts from our sisters about bad experience w/your health care providers. I had tears of joy to hear of this heartfelt support you received from your NP AND your doc. This is the way it is suppose to be...
So important and am glad you have a supportive team. God Bless...
