HI everyone, have a question, I hope you can help with. I am 3 weeks post bowel obstruction surgery and I was doing great and off pain medication. Over the past week the pain has gotten worse, not where the incision is but on the sides of my stomach. I am back on pain medication and it really hurts. I never exoperienced this with my resection at all. I seen the doc on tues and we think it is muscular. Did anyone else experience this pain, I have to be careful with every movement. thanks Bless you all. Petrina

    adhesions
    Petrina,
I wonder if it might be adhesions from the recent surgery. It usually cures itself when they tear as you move about. Is it the surgeon that said it might be muscular? If not I'd ask him/her about it.

    Ditto

Ditto regarding adhesions. I have 'em. They're not pleasant,
and it's been over three years for me.

It's just stuff like intestines, sticking to things they shouldn't be
sticking to. Any operation to "fix" an adhesion will cause more
    adhesions.

Sometimes they manage to go away.....

(I'll say a hope for you.)

    Better days are ahead!

    When that happened with me,
When that happened with me, it ended up being a wound infection. Keep check on it and make sure you get it checked if it starts oozing or anything.
